Oh and this morning my shoulders ache something fierce

This is despite 8 weeks and 150km of 12kg rucking, gawd knows what I'd have been like without that
I'll chat to a couple of the other local guys to see how they're doing

Seen documentaries on army training and some of them use sanitary towels on their shoulders to protect from the bergens. Would something like this help?

What did you do? Look at your feet, smile, shrug? Interesting dynamic.
In a round with mates, I normally just take the mick but don't think you can do that with someone who you have just met and is paying you. It will be great if Slab can do a nice write up after the comp with all the gen and outline his duties. Really interesting.

Totally agree. I suspect I'd be looking at my feet and saying nothing. We have customers in Finland, smashing people but the absolute definition of strong and silent 😄. I suspect there was a good deal of inward seething going on from the guy. It shows the mental strength of pros though, strong comeback.

This event is making me want to go there on holiday 😁
Back in the distant past of 1990 I was in the RN. We were in Mombasa having some RnR after a 6 week stint in the Gulf of Oman. Our next stop was planned to be Mauritius followed by The Seychelles. Unfortunately a certain Mr Hussain started his invasion so we had to steam back to The Gulf. I never did make it to Mauritius and doubt I ever will. 😢 Seeing this tournament each year is the closest I’ll ever get🤣

Trust me, Ave done it twice and the courses are gorgeous. Not the cheapest but gorgeous.
When I played with Slab last year he mentioned he had caddied the course before, am not sure who with. But I do remember he mentioned an agent dumped him for another caddy. Hopefully he will talk about the difference between the two caddy sessions.
