2 hours to tee off. Just arrived at the course
Player due here in 20 mins

Already very hot with real feel of 37 and rising , wind up on yesterday but not as bad as Thursday
No chance of rain so no juggling with brolly etc

Notably more space around clubhouse after the cut

Moving day! Let's hope it's in the right direction 🤞

Biggest diff is that Oliver is on his first full year on DPWT while Nicolas Colsaerts is a seasoned 'been there done that' 20 year vet
I dunno if I mentored already that oliver doesn't know the loft of his 3 iron but he dam well knows exactly far it goes
I'm guessing more than 180 yards?

Would be funny if he had 180 yards to pin, and as caddy you just confidently handed him his 3 iron, whilst he looks at you with bemusement

I don't know why I always thought Pros took their caddie with them to every tournament. Guess it would cost a fortune and they can't afford it at the lower end, so end up hiring themselves an Alan.

There was a story a few years back where an American won a
Big money comp with a local caddy. He had paid the caddy a normal fee and none of his million$ prize money. I think he was kinda forced by the public backlash to give him more. It seems quite a few use locals.

Matt Kutcher, should've paid the bloke what he pays his normal caddy. Just the right thing to do, which is probably around 10%.

It was Kutcher, but opinion was split, he had agreed a fee with the caddy prior to the comp, for the locsl caddy it was a decent payday, it was only Kutcher ended up winning the Comp it became a story.

Morally it was the right thing to do to give him a bonus, but it was the press not the caddy who made the fuss.

Obviously the successful players we see regularly on tv bring their caddy, coach, agent, manager, chef, masseur, physio etc.

But let’s look at Oliver Lindell’s career earnings. Until 2024 he’s been scraping a living from golf. Looks like this could be his breakthrough season.

Probably not enough to support himself, forget about a permanent team with him.

Personally I would've paid the caddy what my usual caddy would get for a win, just because $5k is already a great pay day for him, wouldn't come into it for me.
Absolutely this, to us and probably the Caddy it was fairytale stuff, to Kuchar and the like it was just another day at the office and he’d paid the minion for his services.

He ended up giving him $50,000, but that was still less than 5%.

I agree. But maybe the caddy was a dick, and Kuchar really didn’t feel he deserved anything 🤣
