She seems to be a lightning rod for a lot of people. What's she done wrong in people's view?

I think her arrogance in that interview may indicate why so many people are "gunning" for her..

There are also various sources/reports suggesting or even saying that working for her isn't very nice.

Either way there appears to be absolutely zero confidence in SG at present, firefighting on all fronts and an organisation that just stumbles from one disaster to another.

Not sure how they turn this around.

it is what it is.

Will be £1,000 to £2,000 for most clubs. Not going to be the difference between a club folding or not, but it's £1,000 less clubs have to find from other sources.

actually surprised that Scottish Golf have the finances to do this. Would have thought they'd be the type of org that spend pretty much everything on inefficient operation and overweight staff count. But at least they must have some money in the bank.

Clubs don't have to find any money from.other sources. They bill you the SG fee in your yearly golf fees.

Although I don’t see how they could have done it any other way, the clubs that need it the most are probably likely to have less members, and therefore will get less back.

I guess they could have said rather than refund, we're going to create a hardship fund and clubs have a window to apply and get a %age of it.

They are:
Any club that elects not to take the 25% refund/discount, we will commit that value to a club support fund which will be used for clubs under considerable financial strain. The value of this fund will become clear once all refund applications have been processed and the outcome will be published

25% reduction in fees offered to clubs.

So do we think this is an acceptable offer or is it taking the piss. From memory there are 550 golf courses in Scotland with some courses having more than 1 club playing from them (Montrose, Leven Links to name a few) so how much money do SG take in from all these clubs.

To me the offer is a joke and it will be more trouble than it's worth trying to claim it back.

Even a 100% rebate is a bit pointless IMO to a golf club in seriously dire straights.

I don't have any facts and figures of my own so can only make some assumptions/guesstimates (not interested in being questioned on made up numbers for an illustration, they are just made up!!). So taking the 550 golf courses, let's go with 600 clubs in total with an average of 400 paying members each. That equates to around £3.5m to Scottish Golf but per club is only £5,800. I don't think £5,800 is going to keep a golf club about to close down for good going for very long.

As above, these are purely made up numbers, your made up numbers may vary and you may well have a different view ????
