I need to get one more card done for my handicap and was hoping i could do it at a roll up. You'll have to excuse my ignorance, but is that 'the done thing'? I'll want to take my time, but will other players be in a rush on a saturday morning. I'll probably answer my own question by saying it depends on the individuals.

Cheers

Probably not the best time however it will be a true reflection of a round played with a bit of pressure, the key is to play your own game as you would if you were with players you know, going through your usual routines.Another tip that i try to do is get to my ball quickly and assess the situation then when its your shot your ready to go.

Should be ok, we've done it in our roll ups and fully understand that people want to take a little more time and need to putt out etc etc.

I think if they wont let you do it...............join a different roll up !!!

Well, if it's off white tees, go for it. If not AVOID.

I've spent the last 2+ years regretting playing off tees that are non-representative of the course off white.

Is this a English thing, never heard of a roll up in Scotland

Very popular in England.

Golden Virginia seems to be the favourite, but cheaper alternatives are available.
I blame the hike in duty on ready made cigarettes for their increase in popularity! ;)

If you go to Belgium you can get 50g of Drum or Samson for about £3.50.
It's over £12.00 in the shops over here.
That's why I go on a baccy run every six months and stock up.
At the moment I am smoking a cheaper alternative called "Look Out"...£2.90 a pouch and lasts me for 5 days. Cheap smoke.
