Mrs H catches her foot in my iPad charging lead. It stops charging. Replace the lead. Still not charging. Try the iPhone charger. Still not charging. Looks like it might be the socket.

Drag the laptop out of the cupboard, and drop it breaking the screen.

Eventually find my phone, which hasn't been charged for months. Hallelujah, it works.

My wife, still recovering from a knee op, said to me in bed this morning "Are your friends playing today?"
Me: "Yes, 10am" (without pulling a miserable face).
Wife: "What time do they finish?"
Me: "After 2 sometime"
Wife: "I'll be ok for an hour or so if you want to pop up to meet them for a beer"
Me: (Surprised) "Cheers, love".
Wife: "Before you do can you give the oven a clean and steam the floors?"

There is a correlation to life expectancy based on these conversations.
I have told my wife I only bend my knees for my benefit because I bent them too much for others and I also remind her my dad is deaf because my mum wore his hearing out … so extreme usage can lead to early failure.

Have delivery drivers stopped ringing the doorbell nowadays? Had a number of deliveries recently and the first notification is the email saying the parcel has been delivered - lo and behold, there it is sat on the doorstep when we were in all the time. Yodel, Evri and Amazon are all at fault.

Since they don't have to get signatures anymore they litterally don't care. Just drop it somewhere

DPD today took my parcel away . The driver has said he couldn't find my safe spot. I would accept if he had said sorry sender wouldn't let us leave safe but to lie? My house has a massive shared drive to walk down and my safe space is over my fence . He didn't even walk down the drive so just don't lie.

The sooner the "right to switch off" bill makes it through the better for all

Yes the world is a modern place and a bit of give and take is needed but people deserve to be able to switch off from work and unwind

I mentioned it somewhere else, but my company is stupid with cover for my role, so they'll probably try and blame me for not arranging it. Even though I have asked who I believe to be the appropriate people. Basically the people who are meant to be sorting cover are not based on my project, so my project bosses will be the ones blaming me I expect.
