Random Irritations

I have no interest in childish back and forth bickering, that's why I'm out of many threads, especially as you can't report the posts to the mods because a lot of times it's the mods that are part of it. (not all mods).
And that is why people leave the forum, the petty sometimes nasty ''banter'' that goes on.
It was a very trivial joke about the situation. You’ve massively overreacted. There was nothing nasty about what Patrick said.

Txts that say "letter to follow"

Got a txt few weeks back about a scan I have tomorrow "letter to follow"

Called them yesterday they said we have gone paperless so unless your over 65 it will all be txt, I'm perfectly fine with that but don't say "letter to follow" if your now paperless

So they txt me again today to remind me of appointment just 5 mins from home

Then 5 mins later sent another text .. remember to fast (didn't know it was) but also location is 45 mins away

Just where is it then?

Time to be on hold for an hour to find out I guess

The state of search engines these days. You do a search by exact name to find a well known company and they are only half way down the page of search results for them because far less relevant search results have paid to be above them.

I've never understood condensed soups! Do you just add water to them? In which case why not buy soup that isn't condensed??

Look at a number of recipes for pies, stews, casseroles and pasta dishes on an american web site and a significant number have various flavours of condensed soup as a 'hack' ingredient for a quick dish.

I am sure that when I was a kid we used them as one can made enough soup for 2 or 3 people so was much more convenient to carry around and store.

Just after we moved to New Zealand , bought some tomato soup of a well known supplier. Heated it up and wow it was so more tasty and tomatoee than back in UK , checked the tin and it was condensed 🤣🤣

Ahh that makes sense...bascially a sauce. Like that idea.

Easiest dish I learned at university was two submerged chicken breasts in condensed mushroom soup in a Pyrex baking dish for 25 minutes at 200 degrees. Saved me many times when money was low.

Mine was a pack of mince, a tin of tomatoes and a pack of powdered minestrone soup, made a relatively palatable spag bol.

I like the idea BUT have to say mushroom soup makes me want to puke! If I "cook" some for David I absolutely don't lick the spoon after stirring

Also works surprisingly well with diced chicken breast in condensed tomato soup done same way in the oven with some garlic granules stirred through it.

Another article from the usual suspects about getting rid of golf courses. For the greater good, of course.

If it was the one I read in the guardian it didn't actually sound that bad once it got to the point rather than the click bait headline

We do have a lot more courses than is viable as a business model long term, in the future it would make sense

But none the less it wasn't well put at the start

Home come nobody has pointed out that the country is full of football stadiums that could have housing built on them?
What's more, they are usually much more conveniently located than golf courses.
