I was in the car for the rowing and pundit on that was painful. A/ No wonder the GB team came second, they only had Helen Glover in the boat....... B/ Not sure how they didn't win, all they needed was Glover's experience, nothing more
Sounded like a great race, both boats gave it everything, hats off to the Dutch. We nicked the one yesterday, today they held on. Heads held high all around.
100%. They gave it everything, raced their race. The Dutch got it and deserved the win.
Back to Eurosport for the rowing (thought BBC might be luckier!). James Cracknell saying he hoped our girls reacted to silver as the Dutch girls did yesterday and that they were a credit to the sport as they relished an Olympic Silver medal.

I wondered this, so Googled it.
Apparently countries are only allowed to send 2 golfers, unless they have more than 2 golfers ranked in the Top 15 in the world. They can then have up to 4, provided they are in that Top 15

Probably for the same reason they use their own medal table to show themselves at the top of the table. Every other country does it by Golds, then silver and bronze, USA use total medals

Seems odd that one governing body can make a decision but it is not applicable for the Olympics.
