Not necessarily , there will probably be more Welsh fans watching the game in Edinburgh in bars and clubs than will be at Murrayfield this weekend ;)
In NZ we were season ticket holders for The Crusaders but when it came to RWC allocation we had no sway on allocation , I'm lead to believe that debenture holders at Twickenham had first dibs for the RWC2015 , but happy to be proved wrong :)

Maybe. But the upshot is that the average fan struggles to get hold of tickets. Not because they cant afford them, but simply because they are not available because too many are hived off elsewhere.

If you're a member of a rugby club you can apply for any international game

Just a couple of random picks on the net.
I agree for high end tickets you are very unlikely to get those as it will be corporate and debenture holders

As has been highlighted by Wembley though, the balance of tickets reserved for the corporate element and those available for the average punter seems to be heading irrevocably in one direction. That was my original point, not that people couldnt apply for tickets.

The FA Cup tickets go to the two sets of fans and, yes, there are corperate tickets, but, as its the FA's showpiece event, a large quantity of tickets go to grass root clubs, officials, referees and an assortment of different associations. I have been to 3 cup finals and on those occasions my tickets came legitimately from the FA to my local club of which I am the President

I find it much easier to get into Rugby internationals such as 6 nations games, at a reasonable cost, than even many PL football games.

All down to supply and demand as I ever imo. Some sports are the victims of their own success when it comes to public accessibility for all.

Have you considered where Sky Sports and BT are going to get their billions from? From their subscribers of course, so even viewing on the box is likely to get more expensive!

They will get a lot more from selling the pictures to abroad plus lots on advertising

Wouldn't expect the UK subscription to go up much

Is the right answer. There's a tipping point for most customers on most products where the price is too much and they stop or don't continue subscribing. If prices go too high or increase too often they might find a drop in numbers
