7s is great for non rugby playing nations as the skill set and energy required makes it an easier sport to take up and it also means that the stars of the 15 a side game (Dupont being one for few exceptions) just cannot cross over. Whilst you do still the bigger rugby nations winning, it is due to their dedicated funding and programs rather than as a result of any history in the 15s game where players bulk up for the impact element that just does not appear in 7s unless you are playing Fiji.
No. Steve Bunce has just refuted that claim. 2 boxers, female, failed testosterone tests pre games but they are not trans boxers.

I have been very impressed with the skill, strength and athleticism of the women playing 7's.
I should add, they failed the tests but are still competing as the Olympic committee is a different body to the one that suspended them and they said it was okay

Womens rugby in general is great. At 15s level it is like watching mens rugby from 15 years ago. That is actually meant as a compliment despite how it may sound as that is when size and power started to totally dominate the mens game over some of the skill elements.
