A bronze in the eventing to add to the team gold. Seemed right that all the contenders went clear - even if I was kind of willing some horses to misbehave.

I think they were booing after the race finished? Upset the home guy got beat. It is quite typical though "respect the kicker" in rugby - fat chance in Paris!

Always going to be difficult to beat the guy on his home track. He knows exactly how to get the best times, he’s been practicing on it for a few years.

To be fair the French rider said in an interview after that he had no complaints, Pidcock got the racing line and beat him fairly. Was bloody exciting though!

He looked good and did it under pressure. I don't mind that. Better guy won and took fair advantage of home advantage (I'm still bleating about a French judge on the eventing jury)!!

In my mind gymnastics is the 1 sport where even the worst person at the Olympics is awesome at it. It’s just spectacular to watch.
