Gear , new techniques , the level of “gadgets” out there that can be bought is amusing - as well as “mind books” and “golf thinking” etc
Golf Thinking is hilarious. Most weekend chompers i see hold themselves back. If they just took a step back and think about the basics of golf there handicaps would plummet.

That is the what, not the how. It an advert not a free tutorial and even says 500 bucks a lesson or 50 for the 'proper vid'
Gives an indication. Google aimpoint tuition. Plenty of information. Not doing all the work. Point is, it is a proven system as used on all tours and elite amatuer level and I am happy using it. Think this has run its course as we're going round in circles now

I'm glad you've finally realised you wont change peoples opinion. Well done, others take note.

Never tried to change anyones opinion. Simply said too many write it off and have no interest of EVER trying it so how can you justify an opinion on something that you haven't used. I am happy with it and can see it has benefitted
I paid and tried it!!

I thought you'd decided it had run its course?

And yet people wan the last word. See you have the laughing emoji again on Karl Morris. Are people not entitled to an opinion without being mocked just for a differing view? Thought this was an open forum where opinions are supposed to be respected (according to forum rules).

Its a shopping channel style advert, the only thing missing is the "but wait there's more!"

You appear to be just as guilty as anyone for not respecting other people’s opinions.

I’m very sceptical about the ability to determine amount of slope with the required accuracy using your feet. Has anyone ever seen any tests where say 10 aimpoint practitioners measure the same putt? If so do they come up with the same answer?
I did the Aimpoint Express course and I still struggle with assessing the slope with my feet. As someone who always looked from the low point of the putt back up the line I can't help thinking my brain is telling me which way it breaks so when I stand over the line it tends to just confirm what's there rather than actually sense it.

I do know people who swear by it so will keep trying when I practice over the winter.

My own take is that if there was a clear and significant advantage in one method of green reading over another, most pros would use that method . As it is they seem to be divided . Some people may read greens better by one way than another but not everyone. I also suspect if you work hard at green reading and putting by any method with some logic behind it you should improve your putting. I would be worried if Aimpoint did not improve those who worked at it, whether it means if they actually worked hard on visual green reading they would not improve as much is I suspect a little doubtful.

Serious question for Homer (and any other users):
Does different footwear affect the reading of the slope or can you work out the adjustment on the practice green? Also, does the firmness of the greens affect anything?

I think the key is confidence. If you believe you have read it correctly you are more likely to hit a good putt which may (or may not) go in.
