Lots of withdrawals at the Canadian Open.....I guess plenty need time to process yesterday.
If 5 is a lot then this is correct
And as only 2 are (barely) in the top 100 and 2 are around 400 in the world, I don't suspect that they were ever going to be invited to join LIV

I'm not sure their worth to LIV is relevant....there's been a seismic shift in their profession.
When you're directly involved im sure it takes a bit of time to process

According to the real media (Golf Magic) at least 4 of those withdrew before the announcement, some due to injury - but hey, why let the truth put off people on Twitter ? 😁

Them joining Liv is irrelevant
They have all qualified to be at the Canadian open, and many will be hoping to do well and qualify for more tournaments.

But now there are 50+ players who are suddenly going to be rejoining their tour and basically pushing these guys back down the pecking order.

The ripples have only just started

Think your numbers are a fair way off, 50+ players were not banned or resigned from the PGAT - were they?

Nice bogey free round for Rory putting him in contention going into the weekend.

Hatton also running hot again today. Can he keep such good ball striking up for two more days?

Good to see the women making a comeback at the Scandinavian Mixed, excellent 63 from van Damme and 64’s from Sagstrom and Cowley. They said Ann van Damme driving average is 295 yards.

I've been watching the Champions League final and turn over to find Tommy and Rory at the top of the leaderboard. Surreal.

I liked Tommy and I hope he does, but he isn't winning. But what about Rory, getting it done or a McSunday?

Would like to see Fleetwood come through tomorrow, but it's never easy following up a low round and he has struggled in R4 at times. 🤞

Obviously in the US there is a pathway from college golf into either the KF tour and for some straight onto the PGAT if they are that good

Where as golfers in the UK etc there has always been a bit of a struggle to sort out a gap between a star young amateur into the pro game with a lack of college golf - so we have had things like EuroPro which has stopped due to lack of funds and smaller things like Clutch or Jamega etc just don’t seem to be able to bridge the gap - the Faldo series in the past gave the winner a start on a ET event but this could be something that could help people progress into the Pro Game
