Oooh, thanks for asking!

Monster Magnet at the Electric ballroom in Camden last month were pretty good.

Going to see The Cult + Masters Of Reality in January, The Hold Steady in March and Kyuss in April, all in Glasgow.

Anyone else more into the smaller venues as opposed to stadium gigs ? I'd love to see the Foo Fighters, Kings Of Leon or Green Day but not in a 50,000 capacity venue. Saw AC/DC at Hampden last year and they were pretty good but... just imagine how good they would be if they played a venue with a capacity of 1,000. I can but dream...

Lst gig was the Download Festival. Yes I was probably a bit old to be reliving my youth at a metal festival but needed to see AC/DC and it was worth it. Best gig I have seen and I have been to a few.

I have tickets for the Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes next year but also hear that the Wonderstuff are playing in Nottingham in March so may well go for that as well.

I'd love to start going to smaller gigs again. Though I'm not sure if I'd want to revisit bands that I'd seen years ago. But if my 'rediscovered' post is anything to go by I'd like to see Skin again.

Though I do worry that time has moved on and we ain' so young anymore. But YouTube brings it all back, especially footage from 30 years ago as in the case of Simple Minds.

Wife ain't to keen on gigs anyway.

it has been decreed that we are going to the finally, final, final Simply Red at the O2 this weekend (although I believe that other dates have been added so it may not be final?)

Went and saw The Modfather at Wembley Arena on Friday. Crap venue but a great gig as always.

Agree with some of the other posts though - would love to see some of the big groups playing smaller venues more regularly. Haven't seen Radiohead play a small venue for years so would be good to see them again.

I don’t really do gigs but I am going to Metalheadz at Cable next Saturday night. Metalheads is Goldie`s record label and the night will be hard raw drum & bass and should be an all nighter. I am really too old for this but I love the music so much I feel I should go and get involved.

Tenuous celeb link alert!

I'm fairly good mates with the saxophonisr/musical director for Simply Red - Ian Kirkham.

We got all access passes to their Hyde Park gig about er...10 years ago...was backstage after the show and Mick Hucknall was too busy biffing Melanie Sykes to come out and socialise after the gig. What a hero. :D

Should be a good show. The bloke might be a bit of a nob, but he can sing and puts on a pretty good show.

Got Ocean Colour scene in the Barras in Feb and Kings of Leon at Murrayfield in June.
Last one was ACDC at Hampden. If any of these two are as good as that then I'm in for a cracking year.

No upcoming gigs lined up which is disappointing :(

Saw The Doobie Brothers last month with my old man which was very, very good.

I was hoping to get tickets to Iron Maiden at Cardiff for june next year, but my mate who was organising it, didn't get it organised, so we are no longer going :(

Saw Joe Satriani at the Birmingham Symphony Hall a few weeks ago. Third time I have seen him. Always puts on a brilliant show.

Saw the Doobie Brothers a few years back supporting one of my favourite bands, Foreigner. They can't all be brothers though :D
