Which area do you feel is holding you back the most?

My driving is hit and miss. When it's good it's really good, when it's bad it's shocking. My irons are generally good.

My short game, from 50 yards and in, is consistently average. That's where I really need to work.

Putting first definately. Missing too many silly putts. Also just dialling in wedges after a bout of the s****s so slowly getting my confidence back

Despite always feeling I could improve my driving it's not that be most of the time, short game and putting are usually sound, long game isnt too shabby, short irons much the same.
For me, it's the mid irons.
5-9, I'm simply not accurate enough.
I'm not putting the ball close enough to the hole, If I hit the green I'm often a good 2 putt away

Same poll at the same time last year and I'd be wanting multiple choice.

Sorted the driving out now, it's the club I have the most confidence with but am well aware that feeling can be very short-lived*

I voted putting, am notoriously bad at it however some single putts and many regulation 2 putts yesterday gives me some confidence going forward.

*thinly veiled 'just in case I'm crap off the tee in Scotland', caveat ;)

My long irons

But mainly consistency.

Recently Im having trouble closing rounds

Level gross for front 9 and then 5 over the back - 3 rounds in a row

Hit 16 greens last week and dint break 80. Nuff said.

So I went to see the putting doctor this week who said I had the ball too far back and I was hitting it into the ground.

We will find out soon if that helps me.......

Chipping & putting.
I'm hitting my tee shots better than ever.
Throwing away too many silly shots around the green.

Full swing with any club ATM. Brutal.

Just slapping it up near greens in two and relying on short game to bail me out. loads of work to do. Gone from a strong draw with all clubs to a weak slappy fat slicey over the top motion. grim:(

For me probably my driving. When im straight I'll score really low if I'm wayward that's when I struggle. I've never been a consistent driver of the ball.
And I know for me it's definitely tempo related.
I seem to just go after the driver a little bit too much which causes the wayward ones.
I'm working hard to just get my ball flight with it to be a slight fade.

The other thing for me is my distance control with wedges although I've done a good bit on this over the winter it's starting to pay off.
Mostly down to taking notes on what my carry distances are.
I'm hoping this will get me down another shot or 2 this year.
I want to start clubbing flags right so that I'm missing them left, right, or long.
I don't want to be short.
