Definitely putting.
7 x 3 stabs on the Marquess course, 4 x 3 stabs last weekend and then another 5 this weekend.

I'm turning into Delc

From 100 yards I am a shadow of my 20 year old self. Am going to work on this and get back to my previous level as it used to be one of the best parts of my game.

Am also struggling with putting but this is to be expected with such infrequent play. Now I have joined a club I expect this to sharpen up very quickly indeed.

For as long as I can remember driving has been a major weakness in my game, covered by being able to chip and putt like a God. Cue a new driver - WOW!

Unfortunately, my chipping started to go off the boil tail end of last year. I can't remember the last time a chipped and single putted!

Difficult question really. For me it is all of my irons, my driving is pretty steady, short game is good as is my wedges from 100 yards in. I have changed my irons as using 712MB with TTDG X100 I think was maybe causing inconsistencies, as I do not have the SS I had 2 years ago.

My big weakness is my driving especially for a 6 handicapper, the amount of times I have been the worst driver in a group of higher handicappers is quite staggering.

My lesser weakness is short putts not all the time but more than it should be although I do get a few birdies so something must be ok.

If I could improve these 2 areas and still be strong on my irons and all round putting I will get to low 5's no problem.

Mid-irons for me.

Driving is coming on leaps and bounds since procuring a 915D2 (Thanks Gary), hit 10/14 and 11/14 fairways yesterday in our 36 hole county four ball comp.

Putting is fine, although I do have a tendency to be tentative and leave them in the jaws just short.

Chipping is ok, if the putting is good from 6 feet in I can get up and down to an acceptable level.

5-9 irons, so 170yds down to 110 or so, its a lottery, mostly missing left or coming up short.

Chipping for me. Miss a green and it usually costs me 2 shots, as my normal club game is to chunk the first chip and then either hit the second one too hard or blade it. Either way, it's rarely close enough to single putt.

If I could get a reliable chipping action, it could save me probably 5 or 6 shots a round. Then I can start working on my putting.

I hope that's a typo.

Glad it's working for you though :)

I like this drill, might be worth a go.
