This week I opened a bottle of Penderyn Legend Single Malt that my brother bought me for my birthday.
Welsh whisky? I had my doubts.
It is very pale in colour.
Nothing spectacular about the flavour, but nothing wrong with it either.
Tastes like single malt and goes down well.
Not formed a firm opinion yet. I'll keep trying to, though.

Not a whisky drinker, but I Bought a bottle of Penderyn for a sign writer pal of mine who did me a job. Anyway he had come to Wales and says “ it is his fave Welsh Whisky”. I had never heard of it. Am in Wales now and it is everywhere ?

Lots of nice whiskies on special , Penderyn is £25 at Tesco if you have a clubcard, Smokehead also £25
Bowmore 12 is £30 ?

Just finished off a bottle of japanese Suntory Toki. (£28 from Tesco using clubcard). Never had Japanese before - found it rather smooth & mellow and certainly would have it again - although it's not a rival to my smokey, peaty favourites.

Agree with you about the Zacappa though. My favourite.

Got a Burns supper/Whisky tasting evening on Monday. Looking forward to trying some different single malts.
