INEOS spent most of the summer desperately looking for a new manager and in the end messed it up and had to give ETH a new contract

Last season was their worst prem season and he should have been gone the minute the season ended
According to you, a Liverpool fan. Which, in fairness makes you more qualified than anyone at INEOS, or employed by INEOS, in the running of the football club :ROFLMAO:

😂😂😂

well you can only go by the facts

13th in the league just as close to the relegation zone than to top 4

Great call from them to keep him , give him a big new contract , spend another £200mil and actually get worse ( from being bad )

Genius call from INEOS - genius

The good news looking at the trajectory of their other club - things can always get worse 😁

Sorry I know it’s a tough day for you

Don’t worry - Ole might be back behind the wheel soon🤷‍♂️

let be blunt

It’s one of the biggest clubs in world football and it’s a mess

For 30 years Man Utd lauded it all over the prem with Ferguson there and other clubs suffered the same fate as United and the fans acted no differently

It’s big news in football when one the biggest has issues

When the foot is on the other foot United fans aren’t shy coming forward

Is there ? Not sure tbh

Looking at both BBC and Sky the analysis is focused on Arsenal

There are multiple articles both sites and with different perspectives/bias.

Perhaps read what Warnock and Carragher have said and written on the respective sites.

I genuinely wonder if you take any joy from football, you pretty much whined your way through the entire match.

Why’s no one one talking about Liverpool injuries
Bad Referee
Neville against you
The pundits on the offside decision
Players getting booked
The post match analysis
Mainstream media doesn’t credit Liverpool

Perhaps a glance here reveals the media is more balanced than you are aware.

Warnock and Carragher 🤷‍♂️

Both Liverpool fans 🤔

And as the links in the article - Liverpool based journalists

So as I said the narrative continues to be about Arsenal which is more than fine

Anyway bigger things going on now to cheer up a rainy Monday 😂😂

Have a nice day

Always an article or X page to back up any bias. Surely picking them is only extenuating the blinkered point of view

Totally hypothetical, never going to happen but I have always been intrigued with the idea that as soon as the whistle blows for the first match of the season clubs should not be allowed to change any playing, coaching or managerial staff. That would mean that you had a totally fair league. You could argue that teams still to play United are facing a different prospect (could be better, could be worse) than those who have already played. Same if a team lose their star player in the January window or a team go on a massive recruitment drive, those who play them later in the season are playing them with an advantage or disadvantage over those who have already played them.

Just one of those mad thoughts that comes into my head but surely a season with no changes in squad or coaching would end up with a fairer league.

There has been a number of discussions in the past about “transfer windows” for managers as it seems a bit strange that you can only get players from another club during a certain period but you can get a manager anytime if you pay enough

One of the ideas was that you could sack a manager anytime you want but then you couldn’t bring in a new one until a “window” - so the club would have to make the choice when it comes to sacking someone

I think it is an interesting, and not a bad idea in theory.

But, would there be negative outcomes to that as well? I guess it would mean unemployed or up and coming managers not yet in a job would not be able to get a job. If a manager was sacked on deadline day, then that manager would suddenly be out of work for a year.

For players, we'd essentially have this if we scrapped the January window. Could potentially scrap the January window, but I suppose the reason we have a January window is that it was deemed important enough to have when having transfer windows. I'm guessing they considered only having a summer window, and ultimately concluded there would be problems with this?

Ultimately the FA cup win got him this season, but, it was time.

I like the guy, I like the ethics he has brought to the club. The above what AW posted from Sancho shows he was right to manage the likes of him, Pogba, Lingaard , Ronaldo out of the club.

Tactically he is just found wanting in the premier league. Cmon Xabi Alonso……you know you want too :).

Definitely a great day for the obsessed :ROFLMAO:
Wouldn't call it obsessed, but I started watching football at 8 years old, circa 1992 - and have had to endure 25+ years of smug, glory supporting weapons at school (and later in laws) who chose to support United over their own local team(s), in a time where Fergie and United won just about everything.

This fall from grace is nothing short of wonderful.

Well well well, I called this yesterday re TH getting the sack this week. But Why? Was it on the back of yesterday’s result. If Utd could have finished yesterday the game is over at half time. As it happens, one of the worst ever penalty decisions given is the straw that broke the pathetic Glazier & INEOS camels back. And that for me sums up the dire situation at Utd.
Let’s be right ETH deserved the sack. But he was ok muddling along, the players were happy dragging there wages, a Captain who should never be mentioned in the same breath as Keane, Bryan Robson and X number of other Captains. The Stadium is a dump. The owners are happy dragging there % Cuts every year fleecing the club. But the ones who are hurting who are feeling the grief of the shower of crap at Utd is the fans. Don’t get me wrong I could really lay the boot in and have a good old laugh at what’s going off there, but I have been there as a football fan. And any football fan from any club that has been poorly run be it past or present can relate to the mess that club is in.
I don’t the fix is a quick fix. And this season could be another long one for Utd.

This link probably explains in numbers why EtH has gone. What it don’t explain is why it was left so long to get rid of him.

Er you can stand behind me in the queue Aztec, coz let me assure you that City fans were in front of Forest fans when it came to SMUG glory supporting weapons. 😉👍
