That sort of stat is one that is often not picked up by other fans or pundits, but home fans know it. That suggests a more worrying trend.

Which is whilst the fans turned on Moyes. The trophy papered over the cracks that our league form was relegation form and had been for a while

Great in the Europa league but 2 years of league form wasn't good

We basically gave up when we got knocked out the cup in the quarter finals and were safe from relegation.
I keep harping on about fixtures but they've killed us before we've even got going.

Extends into last season as well. Think it's one win in twenty.

Burnley have more Premier league points than us and they're in the championship.
Good stat

In the last 12 games of last season, plus the 8 this season, Wolves have had a total of 9 points. Although, I think that include 2 wins (beat Luton at home of 27th April 2-1, and beat Fulham at home by the same scoreline, on 9th March).

In the last 12 games of last season, Burnley had 11 points

Less points than Burnley, you'll never sing that

Think the Palace manager must be on borrowed time

Heard a Palace fans views about their current plight on a Forest podcast prior to the game. Believe their woes are a combination of a few things. Players out on international duty during the summer, not replacing key players who were sold etc.

As an outsider looking in, they have enough quality in their side to be OK and this feels like a case where the manager needs time to turn things around. Believe the feeling among the fanbase is that he will be granted it.

Just an outisder's view though! I could be way off the mark!

Top night under the lights at the Citeh Ground.

Not the most classic of prime Premier League games but an entertaining night nonetheless.

Elliot Anderson is basically the Geordie Zidane; absolute joke of a player.

How we only paid £12m for Milenkovic, I’ll never know.

We’d have thrown away those games in past seasons; game management is so much better.

Can go 5th Friday with a win at Leicester 😳

Also - this isn't just me with rose-tinted glasses, but after Liverpool and Arsenal, I truly can't think of a better CB pairing in the league than what Forest have with Murillo and Milenkovic.

Just seen something that shows where we are today with society (only posting it on a footy thread, as the football was usually the key component to the game).

For £29.99 you can buy KerbIt. It includes a Ball, Pump and 2 Portable Kerbs.

In the 80's, all I needed was a ball, and then I'd go out and play the game across a road.

Liverpool must have a better pairing? After all, they have the best Centre Back in Premier League history in VVD, as revealed by Carragher last night on MNF.

Perspective is such a wild thing. Actually laughed seeing Liverpool fans across various forums of the genuine belief they were in some way hard done by on Sunday?

City goal; not offside, not really that controversial! Silva was only offside once the header was made, and he wasn’t impacting play or even close to it at that point.

Liverpool/Chelsea;
-Sancho should have had a pen (disclaimer: he possibly hand balled it just prior, hard to find a replay… But no doubt it was a foul by Alexander-Arnold afterwards)
-Salah dived and got away without a yellow
-1st penalty (Colwill on Jones)… The ball hit Jones on the arm from Salah’s shot so was a genuine VAR error, penalty should not have been given.
-2nd penalty (Sanchez on Jones)… It’s ridiculous from the keeper, probably his touch on the ball was enough, but he’s just an idiot.
-Tosin on Jota - never a red 🫠 come on…

Yes there was some bad decisions throughout (Colwill handball, Nunez shoulder charge… But also Macallister and Gravenberch escaped bookings, Caicedo tackle on Jones where Chelsea had a counter attack). He was just generally poor imo.

Every on field decision went in Liverpool’s favour, so VAR could only really act to “take away” from Liverpool. The referees decision should have no weight towards the outcome, given what we observed on the field (the ref giving one team every decision and succumbing to crowd pressure)

I’m pleased with Chelsea’s performance, I thought we were the better team for majority of the game except for a few 5 min periods where we got pulled apart. albeit lacking goal threat, but it’s not like Liverpool had much threat either. Definite progress. And if we could get a decision in a big game, we’d have a proper chance of getting some points.

@Lord Tyrion found this on a west ham forum

First 8 league games under our last few managers

JL - 8pts (2 wins 2 draws)
Moyes - 5pts (1 win 2 draws)
Pellergrini 7pts (2 wins 1 draw)
Moyes - 8pts (2 wins 2 draws)
Bilic 14pts (4 wins 2 draws)

Yes, all were working under different circumstances but i find the impatience here astounding

I guess context impacts. What state was the team in when each manager has taken over? I take your point though.

They just give me such confidence as a pairing together. In terms of defending, this season and last season have been chalk and cheese.

I am so used to hiding behind the sofa to watch Forest defend. And with a scarily high blood pressure to accompany it! But this season I just never have had that feeling. It’s unfamiliar territory! 🤣

£12m Milenkovic cost us. That’s possibly the best bit of business any Prem team has done so far this season.

£34m for 23 year old Smith-Rowe looking good business too. Getting game time, playing well.
