Love all the jealously about "buying" football

Every single team has bought football. United , Liverpool, chelsea, arsenal all bought the best players for years

Yes a more self sustaining funding but they still made it neigh on impossible to compete with them

At least now with citeh and Newcastle you have teams they can push them aswell

Same as oh money's dirty , every single bit of money is dirty, nobody has got rich off good intentions. All back stabbings , ruthless business and slavery

All money is dirty all teams buy football throughout history

And to support Madrid over city? Pfft the team always bailed out by its own government? Oh how fair play there

Whoa there Tiger!

Far too sensible for this place. Liverpool is often held up as the paragon of virtue in terms of FFP, and under the rules that isn’t far wrong. But have a look at their debt ‘v’ how they manage their annual operating costs. Their annual cost/spending is well managed but their underlying debt is frighteNing. Personally, I couldn’t give a toss either way about any of the clubs. They’re all massaging their figures. It’s the holier than thou by several clubs, including my own Boro(a £32m loss but chased Derby for dodgy dealing).

Some clubs have access to more money, and some are more creative. Why penalise them for being as cute off the pitch as they are on it?

Sorry do you mean the underlying debt that’s from loans and credit lines to rebuild the stadium

Is it really “frightening”

https://www.themag.co.uk/2023/05/the-premier-league-clubs-with-the-biggest-debts-oh-dear-newcastle-united/#:~:text=Swiss%20Ramble%20adding%20on%20the,of%20top%2020%20clubs).”

And City being “cute” has brought them 115 FFP charges

I mean look at Liverpool's net spend over the past 5 years. We would never have bought Allison or Van Dijk without selling Coutinho for stupid money. With me, it's annoying that we haven't bought a midfielder in years and you've got clubs like City and Chelsea just picking up players like they're going out of fashion. With the way FSG run their sports teams, we'll never compete and Klopp has done bloody miracles with the players he's had.

You really are an idiot aren't you?

Read what I said. Nothing about Madrid being unsupportable. All about saying they are better than city at being less corrupt

Plus anyone but the victims

Didn’t take long did it. Always the same with people like you

And how corrupt was the Van Dyck approach? Glass houses buddy. Every team is bent to a greater or lesser extent. Defending a lesser crime over a bigger one still makes it criminal.

And yes, Liverpool’s signings in recent seasons have, in some instances, seriously let them down. No decent replacement for Mane, no decent replacement for Wijnaldum. Milner & (surprisingly) Henderson are shot. Thankfully, TAA looks like he’s turning a corner. Nice to see him getting there the last 2 months.

Ay? The Van Dijk approach investigation that was scrapped by the Premier League due to insufficient evidence to support Southampton's claim? And glass houses? City have net spent £984 million in 10 years compared to Liverpool's £381 mil which is on par with Wolves, Villa and nearly Everton 🫥

Oh stop it. Liverpool paid way over the odds to shut Southampton up. It’s well known by everyone and their dog.

City have more disposable income, get over it. I would bet my house that if Liverpool had that sort of money to spend, they’d spend it.

football is run by corrupt idiots who have ZERO interest in getting rid of corruption because it keeps them rich.

there is already talks that uefa and fifa dont want to take on PSG and City as their lawyers are backed by an entire nation and they wouldnt be able to match the cost that those two could provide in court.

Living in their heads rent free

It truly was a fantastic game of football. Don't know how a single neutral couldn't enjoy that

I used to be of the view that pep "meh only the best teams etc" but watching city.. I swear their a league the others he had

Barca he had the best player to ever play football in Messi with others like iniesta, xavi .. I used to love watching them play

But city routinely take very good sides apart ... They made Madrid look like a under 16s team
