Well it seems to hvae gone into traditional Test cricket... Am in the office and folks seems to be disappointed that Eng is not yet 200 and out.. what happened to Bazball? 26 dot balls on the trot this morning..

Absolutely not, if we let them bowl 3 overs and lost a couple of wickets everyone was up in arms, not like there are any more days to get us out, I mean really there is still 2 days play.

It’s absolute tosh. Umpires should have taken charge and made them face up to it. 2 or 3 overs would have been a proper tussle. Crawley wimped out pure and simple.

Indian batsmen were wasting time all day, lost count of the amount of time the bowler was ready but the batsmen were fannying around.
Day 1, 81 overs bowled.

Umpires need to do more on the field to stop time wasting.
Match officials needs to start fining/banning players for excessive time wasting.
They can start with stop trying to get the ball changed every other over.

They either need to find a radical solution to get 90 overs played, or admit it’s not achievable and drop it to a lower number.
Test matches in England should start at 1030 and finish at 1830, that would be a start.

I think a 10.30 start could be problematic at times with dew on the ground giving a distorted start each day. The later finish is fine though.
Some new thinking is required, these things should be open to discussion.

If it is still light enough to play, then they should carry on until the allotted overs have been bowled. And if either side needs penalising due to them delaying play then the penalty should be immediately applied. Not just penalty points for the captain and a minimal fine for the team, a decent penalty that will make the teams notice and change their ways.

Really? Golf greens get switched early morning and by 9.00 are bone dry. Even if it is a really heavy dew surely it is not beyond the wit of man to dry the strip and the bowlers run ins etc.
