The Oval last night was great. Some of the fielding in the women's match was a bit "village" but overall theirs was the more entertaining match.

Why do you feel the need to say this? Does it make you feel like a ‘real’ man?
What's the issue if it's an honest opinion of something he observed. The commentator has just said something similar to one of the women who played in the match during her interview. She didn't disagree. The same batter dropped three times is poor.

Would he have said the same about the men? No comment about the Welsh Fire man who just missed a simple chance to stop a Harry Brook 4 at the end of his innings? Wonder why?

Give him a chance. The men's match is still ongoing.

Great knock from Brook just now.

Very hard to believe that he's not going to be in our one day squad for the World Cup. Can't help but think that they are going to find a way to get him in the squad down the line through an injury to another player.

And I think that's one of the most incredible catches I've ever seen that Brook was just involved with.

EDIT - for those not watching. He ran round the boundary and took the catch. Realised that he was going over the boundary so threw the ball up in the air. Jumped in the air while outside the boundary and caught the ball while landing back inside the boundary, then realised he was going to overbalance and go back over the boundary so threw the ball to a team mate to finish the catch. I'm sure it will be on Google later and would recommend anyone watch it.

He took off from outside the boundary to catch the second one. I thought that made it a 6. 🤷‍♂️

Not 100% sure but I thought that as long as he landed back inside the boundary it was ok. But you may be correct, I don't know. Just incredibly quick thinking to do what he did.

Just checked. It's only the first contact where the fielder has to have jumped from inside the boundary. Great catch.

Because I’m not a person who could see into the future? Posted live and in real time while at the ground. The men’s match was yet to be played.

No dropped catches in that game though.

People framed the choice as between him and Stokes but I don't think that's correct. In the batter slot it's 2 of him or Root or Dawid Malan or Bairstow. With that reference I can understand why he was left out.

Interesting to hear Tamal Mills on the mike as he is bowling, also telling us what he’s going to bowl at the end of his run up - great insight.
