I'm just peed off listening to the dire commentary. Barely stop talking blah blah , can't stand Aussie commentators on UK TV. Much preferred the old days of Gower, Botham Athers etc etc .... and especially Bumble!

I don't mind the Aussie commentator, you feel like that because we are losing. I'm more frustrtaed with the cricket than the commentating. Stokes is going to learn the hard way it is not easy to win an ashes test let alone a series

If you don't like any commentating that's fine but if there is to be some lets have it from both sides not one sided at all. I hate watching Everton on Sky before or after another match where the commentating is all about Man Utd or Liverpool commentators. No issue with having an Aussie part commentating on the Ashes.
Now I also prefer Botham, Gower and Bumble but does that mean you like commentating then but don't like the people rather than commentating in it's self, see mixed messages all round. What I think you mean is you like commentating as long as No Aussies and it's Bumble, Goswer and Botham otherwise it sucks.

Will take the likes of Ponting , Taylor and McGrath on TMS over Kevin Pietersen all day long and every week - enjoying Taylor and Ponting is so knowledgeable

Thought it was the Aussies you didn’t like ? The English guys and girls provide the same level of information as well
That’s just the modern way to commentate now , same with football , golf etc
TMS has a little bit better balance with the likes of Aggers bringing a bit of light chat
I’m generally pretty happy with the Sky commentary team with the very obvious exception of Pietersen. It amazes me that there is room alongside him for a second commentator, such is the enormity of his ego.

Not seen the Root one but they discussed it and said that Smith had fingers under the ball
