Saturday Season Opener - Cancelled!

Their call I suppose but still contact with people in the pro shop, still swapping cards even if it is at the beginning of the round, still contact with the cards as they are checked, potential for groups as people turn up at the same time for a roll up and wait on the tee, people on the putting green as they warm up for a comp they want to do well in, etc. Rather not thanks.

Just had an email from our secretary asking for clubs fees (we operate separately to the actual golf facility) by the end of March. He jokingly put 'I hope you're not using the coronavirus as an excuse for not paying'... I don't think people are realising how this country could well go the way of Italy and Spain, with real lockdown type situations. And forgetting those two countries that are obviously extreme examples, I've read that a few European countries have ordered their courses shut anyway.

Our club have sent out an email to all golfers regarding upcoming competitions, such as how to pay, distancing, no rakes in bunkers, flag sticks must be left in, etc. Mostly following England Golfs guidance yesterday.

Personally I won't be playing any competition golf until I am told we're over the worst of it.

Will head down today and use the practice area and may play 18 holes tomorrow if the course is "quiet" but will still adhere to all precautions and advice.

We are fully open although with certain advisory conditions. Leave the flagstick in and remove your ball from the hole with your gloved hand. Rakes have also been removed, use your club/shoes to level the sand afterwards.
Apart from that, out in the fresh air away from crowds is a good place to be.

You wont be playing til about july or august then if you look at the current projections for the impact curve
