I'm hoping you didn't make her one. You only get one if you make oneOh no one of them I haven't had a tea off and she's been here 18 months already
I'm feeling she's allergic to the kettle area

Should have told her it’s part of her CPD, you show her once then see if she is capable of receiving simple instructions and carrying out small manual tasksOh no one of them I haven't had a tea off and she's been here 18 months already

I always carry an emergency £20 and £5 in coins in case of emergenciesFunny we were talking about cash yesterday then the bbc carry this article…
Warning shops could be forced to accept cash in future https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cjwvgqz3vxzo
I think the key is do not get too dependent on technology. There is nothing wrong with still using cash. The older and poorer people always prefer it.
It's credible it's just not viable for everyone
Thought solar was more popular in Spain anyways due to the masses of sun light and the cheaper install costs?
Think it's more respectable to the businesses that tried to remain open. They didn't have to.
I doubt we will see a grid outage like this again within the next decade so will be a distance memory the next time
As a side note I just read the BBC and this is hilarious
"My mum was counting coins to see if she had enough to buy wine from a corner shop"
Real life or death stuff that![]()
You're right, credible but not practical.
Spain and solar power. Until recently, if you went down the solar power route, ideal for those miles from the grid, you incurred more tax. There was zero incentive for domestic installs.
Re small businesses saying cash only. Small businesses are often small purchases. The % lost to bank charges is high. One beer = €1.50 with 67centimos bank charge. 3 sticks of bread = €1.20 with 67 centimos bank charge. Its cash only for a genuine reason.
The “things going on outside work” is something I am familiar with, the amount of unnecessary drama I have to listen to from some of our sub-contractors because they are underperforming is ridiculous… I always just want to say “That sounds more like a you problem than a me problem” but as always when dealing with labour you have to tread carefully!Watching her signaling I'd wouldn't think the kettle is safe
Words fail that she's been kept on this long. But then lots going on outside of work so have to cut slack. There really for me comes a time to say look if outsides that bad take a year and come back when things settle rather than put yourself under this stress
Till you spend it in an emergency, as we did, but then need more.I always carry an emergency £20 and £5 in coins in case of emergencies
Better hope it’s a small emergency!I always carry an emergency £20 and £5 in coins in case of emergencies

I take cash out beginning of the week and if I need some more I get some. Like this I know where I'm up to. As you say cash is king.Funny we were talking about cash yesterday then the bbc carry this article…

My brother the GMB shop steward tells me stories of some members that are endlessly getting moved from position to position, constantly in training.we have to watch out for grievances in trainees. to fail one you really have to show evidence. its not the case anymore of they will never pass so long as they have a hole in their bum they will never make it lol you have to show evidence
unlike my collegues on another line did with this same trainee.... failed her.. she complained and got moved here.. great thanks for that.. wasnt good enough for them but they didnt follow the processs so we have to suffer

His advice off the record is “Sack them” it’s cheaper and cleaner to get done for unfair dismissal than carry them for years.![]()
I have a ward clerk - a lovely lady but 67 and with some health issues and frankly doesn't cut it anymore. Spends more time talking than working and just isn't doing what is asked. I marked her as needing improvement on the appraisal but as she was retiring and returning the powers above me decided that we should ignore the capability process and just let her work the one year fixed term she is on and then review at the end of the year. NO - I have evidence she is failing - DO SOMETHINGwe have to watch out for grievances in trainees. to fail one you really have to show evidence. its not the case anymore of they will never pass so long as they have a hole in their bum they will never make it lol you have to show evidence

In Spain I don't dispute that but in the UK it's definitely a tax dodge or money laundering (tanning salons are the best for it)
More tax? Well that's ridiculous, need to encourage people to do. I'm glad we aren't that short sighted
Most of my income is in cash.
Am I a tax dodger or a money launderer?
A little from column A and a little from column B ????????????????????Most of my income is in cash.

Do you refuse card or bank payments? There is a clear difference between having majority cash income and refusing to accept anything but cash.
I refuse card and have one customer paying by bank transfer, everyone else pays cash.
