Random Irritations

Not every business that uses cash is a tax dodge

There are many out there that still take cash because there are a lot of people that wlll only deal in cash

If you read the reply

"Do you refuse card or bank payments? There is a clear difference between having majority cash income and refusing to accept anything but cash."

Just for your reference as I know you struggle reading everything before jumping in with unhelpful comments 👍

Someone only wanting to deal in cash is not immediately a tax dodge

Maybe you need to stop judging the masses based on your own ideology

There are still plenty of people out there that won’t touch card readers or do bank transfers , they still want to deal in just cash

Our window cleaner is like that , he doesn’t do it just for tax dodge

But you said "in the UK it's definitely a tax dodge or money laundering".
It sounds like you've already decided.

Do you declare everything?

Not at all what I said. If you flat out refuse all card and online and ONLY take cash then yes I'd say you are a tax dodger

Thanks for the useless information as always Phil

Quite aware who and who doesn't want to deal with bank transfers

As slime pointed out he accepts them

So back in your box there's a good lad unless you have something useful to add rather than repeating everyone else's posts to feel relevant

Think you need to take a step back and temper the replies - you aren’t superior enough to be able to talk down to people in that way

This is what you said - don’t judge everyone the same way

in the UK it's definitely a tax dodge or money laundering".

In your opinion

May I remind you that it's also how you love to talk to people

Wading into debates like a subject matter expert but with no subject to be a expert on.

Phil, like you, I and everyone else on here, has an opinion and chooses to share it.
That's all any of us are doing.
If anyone bothers you that much put them on ignore.
Sometimes he bothers me, at which point I'll either react or move on, but he, you and I are all entitled to our opinions.
Just let it go, Paul, and glide past his posts.

I don't mind if it adds to a debate. However it's a pattern. It's constant just repeating and rehashing of what others have said. IE what you have already said this morning.

Not helped by lots of places refusing cash, especially bars and restaurants. I played Heythrop Park last year and everything from the pro shop to the bar is card only

My club is cashless, which is a shame.
There's a Captain's Charity Bunker which costs £1 everytime you go in it.
People aren't fussed with a £1 card transaction but, when we used to take cash and there was a pot on the bar for the £1s, the pot was always pretty full as people often just dumped spare change in it.

We are just going cashless with the comps. I've topped up my account by £30 and it's great but there is one member who doesn't use a phone (only frustrating thing is he does use a phone. He is on Uber as a driver he just refuses) but luckily the handicap sec will be topping up his account and then he can use the computer in reception to sign up

We were cashless for a while but multiple complaints especially from dinners at the evening so we moved to allow cash to be put on your account card

Most of us mainly use it to pay entry into swindles and twos etc

We are supposedly cashless in as much as we have a bar card for food and drink and comp entries come off that balance. However you can still use cash to top the card up and we have cash for the roll ups which is then divided into first and second and paid straight back out
