So on Thursday afternoon the physios came , did some stairs and said you are almost ready to go home
(Been in Stoke Mandeville since 9 Jan)
They said they would come early on Friday (yesterday) and all being well, I’d be home yesterday.

They came at 3:30 pm and said I was ok to go, but we had missed the deadlines for pharmacy etc and I’d be out on Saturday (Today)

It’s now 12:30 and nothing has happened, I’m dressed ready to go.

Asked what was going on and a timescale

The docs have to do a discharge letter, that then goes to the pharmacy

The discharge letter hasn’t been done yet and the pharmacy closes at 4 pm

I can see myself being here tonight
Not even sure if the pharmacy is open tomorrow so it could even be Monday

I’m bed blocking and I hate it

I have it on good authority that SMH pharmacy is open tomorrow......

BGas due today to fit a new Smart meter as the current one is obsolete.
Arriving between 10 and 2....
Spent the morning emptying the cupboard where it lives...full of junk..took a couple of hours plus moving furniture etc..
11.50 I get a text saying they can't make it today and will rebook....
Well thanks a lot....waste if a morning.

Not heard any company offer low cost deals for having one installed, barring BG with their Sunday morning one. But who has time Sunday morning? We've had a SM for years.....BGas informed us late last year that ours is now obsolete and will stop functioning properly at the end of the year.
They want to replace it with a spanking new one that will allow us to switch supplier easily without having to install another one.....
Plus it means I don't have to empty the cupboard every time someone needs to read the meter.....
Plus....I'm not paranoid

Yes I am aware languages evolve thanks. The left have hijacked it against the right, and the right against the left. And then there’s the ethnic and cultural divide, used by some to firm up that divide. Rather sad really but I think it says more about those trying to use it for the wrong reasons - it highlights their bigotry.

Weighed myself this morning for the first time since mid December- 13 stone 12 pounds

There was a really good debate on here a few years back. Can’t even remember the exact detail but as usual there was a bit of an age divide as well as a bit of a cultural/ethnic undertone. I thought I was very much of the middle ground, then @Liverpoolphil threw in a perspective I hadn’t even thought of. It made me take a step back then, and I’ve remembered it ever since. We should always challenge ourself before we challenge someone else.
