You're right of course but 763 million people who use adblockers can't all be wrong.
And it does work beautifully.
Give it a go and if you don't like it, uninstall it.

No, thank you. I will retain my system integrity.

As I previously pointed out these are not advertising pop ups that are annoying me.

As such, I reserve the right to remain irritated by it, even if you are not.

Unlike you, I don't like 3rd party software on my systems. Different strokes.

Knowing how to do something and thinking it's a good idea or something that one wants to do are different things.
Seems like obstinacy to me! It (Adblock Plus) is the only 'third party' software I use, but I deem it essential! Wars have been lost by generals who slavishly maintain the above attitude!

It may seem like obstinance to you but your attitude to security and integrity seems cavalier and irresponsible to me. Wars have been lost by people who demonstrate such attitudes…

But for a world where we all seen things the same.

It’s Adblock Plus that being suggested, not “we mine your data.com, and sell it to a Nigerian prince.” Fine, your metric says “no,“ I’ve used it for years and never had a problem, or a Nigerian prince chase me for my PIN number.

It's precisely my 'attitude to security and integrity' that was (part of) my reasoning to instal Adblock many years ago! But, as you say, but for a world... FWIW, I'd prefer it to be built into the operating system, but understand why it isn't!

As I say, it’s absolutely your prerogative to use your system(s) as you see fit.

I won’t question your use of freeware as it’s your right to use it as you please.

Me, I don’t use freeware as the price seems a bit too good to be true.

Look, my irritation was not about adverts. It was about intrasite pop ups. I know some of you have the bit between your teeth for ad block as you’ve never had an issue with it, and more power to your elbows. It’s just not for me not a solution to the issue that irritated me.

Popped down to the local butchers yo get a couple of T bone steaks for a BBQ later this week. Went in the wine merchants who had managed to get me a bottle of flower and the bee, which has been impossible to get the last few months. Had a shopping bag, a tourist not looking were he was going walked straight into me, hearing a crack, bottle broke filling the bag, with the contents of £30 bottle of wine soaking the steaks in white wine🙄

Trying to alter a pdf document without the correct software. We have ones which claim to be able to do it but they don't correctly. It isn't worth paying Adobe the high amounts they ask per year for 1 or 2 times a year that we need it but right now.......

That doesn't seem to want to play nicely either. It's not helped, I suspect, that there are lots of tables in the document and whoever set it up has made it a bit tricksy. Converting or opening in other formats is moving stuff around, not allowing me to add things without them appearing elsewhere. I'm not that familiar with that type of thing so it isn't going well.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

I'm irritated that you were going to pair steak with white wine.
