Professional Golf

Of course it could be taken around the world, but still ran by the PGA of America.
They then liaise with the host country’s governing golf body to help organise it.
Why would they want to host their most prestigious event in another country?
As a fan, I'd love them to take it on the road, but they don't represent me, they represent club professionals in the USA.

Because if you want to try and elevate above its current standing, it’s the logical course of action.
The PGA tour are continuously pushing The Players as the 5th major, inevitably there will be calls to drop the PGA as a major and The Players replacing it.

It’s not going to move around and it will always be the 4th major - the Playars won’t replace it

Moving it around won’t change the level it’s seen at

It's a course of action that would be completely unacceptable to the PGA. So it's not at all logical.
The PGA of America are always going to hold their championship in the United States of America. The clue is in the name.

So how does that happen then? Who makes the decision, who gets to say "right the PGA is no longer a major, the Players has taken its place.

Is it a committee, a referendum of golfers, all golfers, tour golfers?

Just wondering how the process works.

Puig with a 'proper' albatross down in Adelaide.

Looks like another cracking event down there, a few players posting 9 unders in round 2 so there were scores to be had - Rahm being one of them as he climbed up to the top of the leaderboard. Anthony Kim sits in 4th - I wouldn't rule out him getting a podium this year.

Team comp is tighter than two coyts o' paint with just one shot separating the top 5 teams - honestly thought the 4 round switch might dilute the excitement going into the final round, but maybe it's going to do the opposite.

Bryson, Rahm and Anthony Kim in the final group on the final day at what has quickly become one of the greatest golf tournaments in the world.

Oh and the Australian Ripper GC chasing down Rahms Legion XIII in the team competition.

I’ll be setting the alarm early to catch as much of that one as I can. 💪

I think calling it one of the greatest golf tournaments in the world might be over egging it just a tad 😂

Totally.... No offence Mel.. Love your enthusiasm for LIV.. But you've taken that way too far..
Its lacking in a few categories to merit such praise.
Course, prestige, depth of field, history. I have no doubt everyone attending is having a good time. That's maybe where it should be left.
Anyway, amazingly my course is open so off to play some rock hard ground golf..njoy.
