The PGA cannot be moved around to globe. The competition is run and hosted by the PGA of America so that immediately rules out them taking it globally

Why would they want to host their most prestigious event in another country?
As a fan, I'd love them to take it on the road, but they don't represent me, they represent club professionals in the USA.

Because if you want to try and elevate above its current standing, it’s the logical course of action.
The PGA tour are continuously pushing The Players as the 5th major, inevitably there will be calls to drop the PGA as a major and The Players replacing it.

It's a course of action that would be completely unacceptable to the PGA. So it's not at all logical.
The PGA of America are always going to hold their championship in the United States of America. The clue is in the name.

So how does that happen then? Who makes the decision, who gets to say "right the PGA is no longer a major, the Players has taken its place.

Is it a committee, a referendum of golfers, all golfers, tour golfers?

Just wondering how the process works.
