This was signposted as probable back in January I think, now confirmed

Think it’s a good move to then allow places like Australia to put on top level events that the top players can support

The defencelessness of the course at Kapalua didn't help (was it 35 under 2 years ago?). When everyone hits nearly every green in regulation then you're just watching a putting contest.

In a smart/ideal (but imaginary) world, they would just be waiting for LIV's corpse to finally stop twitching so they can then ride in and do a co-sanctioned DPWT/PGA event at Adelaide, even if it shifts to an earlier date; maybe with a goodwill ticket swap for those left holding worthless LIV tix, generating huge positive publicity as the "saviours" of the event and of high level golf in Adelaide, and allowing punters to see the stars they would have got from LIV (who will presumably have to sit on the DPWT for a while) as well as a load of PGAT stars as a sort of celebratory golf "reunion" event following LIV's demise.

In the real world they'll likely just play another event in California, based on whoever offers the biggest sponsorship package or the most money :D
