I guess it all depends how you describe great.

- Headlines across the world?
- Largest TV audience?
- Largest attendance?
- Most pivotal for the sport?
- The only thing people are talking about at the club/range?
- Transcending the sport?
- The best of the best battling for the ultimate title?
- Most history or historic?
- Career defining for the victor?

Not sure what other criteria could be used but I’m sure there are some.

I agree with all the above.
I would also say that here we are on a golf forum and there is only 1 person talking about it.
Compare that with how many were talking about the tournaments last week and that gives an indication in my opinion.

I’ll be setting the alarm early to catch as much of that one as I can.

When people are at 19 under after three rounds on other tours it’s derided for being a birdie fest etc etc etc

I’m sure the Aussies will be enjoying because they love their sport but don’t go over the top

It was agreed last year that the golf aspect of LIV could be discussed in this thread, with the LIV thread being used to discuss the other aspects of the tour.
