They then liaise with the host country’s governing golf body to help organise it.
Why would they want to host their most prestigious event in another country?
As a fan, I'd love them to take it on the road, but they don't represent me, they represent club professionals in the USA.

Because if you want to try and elevate above its current standing, it’s the logical course of action.
The PGA tour are continuously pushing The Players as the 5th major, inevitably there will be calls to drop the PGA as a major and The Players replacing it.

It’s not going to move around and it will always be the 4th major - the Playars won’t replace it

I'd like to see the Open Championship relocate to Spain or Portugal. Fed up watching people wrapped up for winter in the middle of July.
