I quite liked the reference to Eric Liddell and Chariots of Fire. It really made the story all the more poignant should Matt have emulated him.
Felt so sorry for him and you could see the disappointment all over his face in the immediate aftermath. Seemed to have it in the bag but just couldn't find anything in the last 30 metres. A brilliant performance though

Excruciating. I like to think I have a high pain threshold but it's right at my limit. 3000 shocks a session which is about 3 minutes and I'm writhing and sweating and gnashing teeth throughout!! Only my 2nd session but I'd say once it settled down a bit last week I felt more confident when walking and less limping. Not tested with running/tennis yet but it's a cumulative effect and minimum of 3, maximum of 6.

So far I'm slightly optimistic to its efficacy I'd say.
Cheers for the update , last time my heel flared up , this was something I was offered but declined , luckily a real deep hit for 14 days of physio , 2 sessions a day at the Police rehabilitation centre sorted it out.

Can you keep me updated on how you think it has worked for you at the end of your sessions please.

I did hear that you needed a high pain threshold for it .

Thanks

Guy.

Hockey on the pad - great gold for Holland

And superb gold for Tobogo

Wyles come out full of energy but doesn’t look well

Edit - seems he has covid - didn’t seem an issue when he was jumping around at the start

Maybe he was trying to psych himself up.
What do you expect him to do,walk to the blocks with a lemsip & hot water bottle? 🤷‍♂️

Lyles is a total drama queen. Selfish too. No Brits in the final to spread the lurgy to, so looking good for the relays :)
Not bad if he does have Covid & still won bronze.
I was laid on the sofa eating ice pops feeling sorry for myself when I had it.

He would have warmed up thoroughly. Getting up to race pace in bursts. No way could he have raced if he was bad enough to need a wheelchair afterwards. Full of it.

Some men are just cut from a different cloth 😂

I'd have more time for him if he said "I've got Covid, I gave it my best" rather than making such a show at the end so everyone knows he's a poorly boy. He would have felt rough as after warming up if it was that bad. I doubt it escalated to such extremes after he left the warm-up track. For me he made himself look a drama queen.
