Has Dunlap been linked to Rahm's team yet?

Nah they are looking at 10th ranked Suratt

The ones above him are looking at the two main tours - the likes of Lamprecht , Thorbjornson

The good thing about some players jumping to LIV is it opens up gaps for the next generation to come through -bright future

Standard of the PGA tour has really fallen - amateurs winning the tournaments now.

Dunlap’s win is great to see, but as far as pro golf tournaments go, the Amex is a bit Mickey Mouse - and clearly the PGAT doesn’t have the quality it once had.
That’s the facts of where we are right now in pro golf.

Are you purposely on the wind up? :ROFLMAO:

They have lost a handful of top talent but the PGAT is still more stacked with talent than any tour. Some of the big names were playing on the DPWT this week, others taking a rest.

When you have pretty much a tournament per week, some events are going to have less top players than others. Its not like the kid won "The Players"

You do know the first 3 days are a pro am right?

If the Amex is a bit Mickey Mouse. What does that make LiV events?

Well when we have amateurs and rank outsiders winning on LIV, as has happened on the PGAT so far this year, I might be able to answer the question.

Amex had

20 of the world top 50

The current US Open champion

Plus the world 1 and 3 others from the top 10

Major winners from 2022

156 players in the field

It’s far from Mickey Mouse

If it’s then that’s every single LiV event is even worse with half the field very much not at a high standard

The winners on LIV isn’t a list of hall of famers

Chacarra ?!

The Amex had a pretty decent field given how awful the event is.

Last amateur to win a PGA Tour event was a guy called Phil Mickelson in 1991. At the time he was the reigning US Amateur Champion. A similar resume to Nick Dunlap. Mickelson turned out to be a pretty decent golfer. Amateur doesn't always mean 'crap'.

This is quite a cool feature that LIV are doing at Las Vegas - the fans get to vote on which captains get to play together - I expect a Brooks / Bryson vote will be pretty popular.Liv X.png

You will all be glad to hear that we (the global investment industry - including your pension funds) leant the $700bn PIF another $5bn yesterday across 3 bond tranches - maybe that is earmarked to buy Rory!! :ROFLMAO:
