Have you ever needlessly paid for something Phil?
Wasn’t the deal all about getting income in - to try and make the tour sustainable

Some of the biggest sports incomes are from media deals

When the deal with Caffeine TV was done it was lauded by LIV fans and it was a new media deal that would increase income

If they are going to give it away from free is it because they don’t think anyone will pay for it ?

Thay doesn’t answer thecwuestion I asked does it.

Would you willingly pay forcsomething you can get for free?

There are multiple ways to watch LIV without subscription TV in many parts of the world - as long as that exists people would be foolish to pay.

Besides, LIV was a tiny part of Caffeine’s schedule - to suggest its failure is anything to do with LIV is the typical straw clutching I’ve come to expect.
Thete are much bigger media deals on the table for LIV than what caffeine was offering.

Has the narrative changed ?

What media deals are on the table ?

And yes people will get it for free right now because that’s the only way they get viewers and even with it being free - the level of viewers isn’t great

And no one will pay for something they can get legally for free so why did LIV look for a paid subscription service to partner with

Oh so the media deals that the PGAT have then ?

Have you seen the framework that shows that LIV events will be broadcast under those deals ?

Have you got a copy of the agreed framework

I don't know why I keep bothering, but....

When Jay and Yasir made the June 6th agreement they talked about Golf under one umbrella, they talked about sharing assets, they talked about growing the game globally.

Do you honestly believe that Yasir is prepared to put in 1.5 billion dollars of Saudi money, and that won't include the opportunity to have LIV showcased on the same platforms that the rest of golf is shown on?

The assets that the PGAT has are some of the players - the ones that would strengthen LIV's position, and the position the tour has with the media.

Nashville was sold out last week - now imagine that event on a different weekend to a signature event - instead it replaces one of the least popular tour events - no right minded tv exec, sponsor,, businessman would think that was a bad idea.
The only people that would be against it are those that can't get past their reasons for choosing to bag LIV from the get go, but even those are dwindling in number.

So the answer is no then

And it’s been a year now hasn’t it since any announcement and still no agreement

And you and everyone else has no idea what the agreement will be or if any agreement goes through or what that may look like after

LIV could just stop as PIF just puts the money into PGAT instead as that has everything already.

The media deals are with the PGAT not LIV - LIV as we know has been unable to gain any major media deals

There has been a lot of what will happen

Teams sold franchises - not happened
Major media deals - not happened

Do you think PIF are going to the PGAT because LIV isn’t really working

You seem to think that LIV is in a stronger position?

It’s not - it’s an unsustainable tour that’s being held up by PIF , the PGAT is in a far stronger position and that’s why PIF are looking to get in there

But any “framework” or agreement is all guess work

The trajectory Liv is on will lead to a TV or streaming contract in the future at some point.
Probably as part of the merger if there are going to be cross over events between the 2 tours.

In Bryson Liv has the most marketable guy in the game which everyone will want a part of, he is box office right now..

This is quite a good little addition from LIV - the songs played at each event are now compiled on Spotify playlists.
Some decent tunes in and amongst to be fair - obviously the Nashville ones have a strong country music vibe.
