I don’t know the breakdown of the deal. But if JCB are paying to host it and cover the prize money, it's going to be a significant amount of money, right?
So LIV are not covering the prize money anymore for the events ?

So JCB are paying to host and also covering the prize money

Why would they do they that when PIF have covered all those costs

Maybe JCB see value in the deal? - whether you like it, or are prepared to admit it, we're reaching the point where countries and courses are bidding to host LIV events.

What is the value and do all courses now pay and provide the prize money ? jCB don’t have green fees or visitors so where do they recoup the money

Surely for something so dramatic a change then you would expect a press release from LIV - do you have that ?

What value did Lord Bamford see in paying for Boris Johnson’s wedding?

Like that, JCB hosting LIV is nothing to do with the golf, it’s all political manoeuvring. And we can’t talk about that.

Jcb make expensive kit for building stuff, sometimes in deserts.
Not just golfers looking to strike a deal.

Yeah, building golf courses, 100 mile long cities, world cup venues....

The figure for hosting the LIV event is 45 to 50 million dollars, less than 10% of JCB's pre tax profits. Potentially good business for all parties.

Where are you getting these numbers from. They don’t make any sense. Especially when you don’t seem to know the difference between dollars and pounds.

Well for other tours it’s the tour that pays “rent” to a golf course to host the event ,
I don’t think this is always true.
When the European Tour held the Masters at the Belfry they took the hotel for the whole week, rooms, food and beverage all for nothing plus shut the Brabazon for 2 weeks and the other 2 courses for one week. The only money the hotel got was half the gate receipts which was a tiny fraction of the income they lost.
The hotel obviously thought this cost was worth it for the advertising and revenue but in essence they paid a fortune to have a Tour event.

JCB's Pre tax profits were £557 million pounds in 2022.

45 to 50 million dollars is roughly 36 to 40 million pounds.

40 million pounds is 7.2% of 557 million pounds

7.2% is less than 10%

I would never recommend a client pay 7% of their pre-tax profits on one advertisement.

Especially in a year when they are mothballing factories.

Where did you get that JCB paid that much to host a LiV event?

Which other clubs were bidding to host? There must have been a few to get the fee that high.
