They’re just towing the party line end of, I fail to believe any of the golfers either LIV, DPWT or PGA don’t get coached in what to say in front of the cameras. I take everything they say with a massive pinch of salt and don’t let it waste my brain cells from getting worked up about it.

I don't care one way or the other, I'm just a casual observer these days, but if your word isn't worth anything, then you have problems, and his word as of a few month ago was that he wouldn't be joining LIV.

Still room for another 3 teams and can maintain a shotgun start.
Starting 2 teams on 2 par 5s for example.

So in theory could add another 12 players top players to the field and not lose any current players

Someone might have said this in the 2 pages im yet to read - but the normally start 2 groups on the first tee too, so plenty of space to fill across the course.

Harold Varner at least was honest as to why he moved. No growing the game BS, he just went for the money!
True and u can respect that.

Looking at the PGA tour though James are they really helping others on the tour.
Rewarding millionaires with a 100 million only the top 20
150-200 players not getting anything.
Maybe just maybe players are getting sick of multi millionaires just getting richer whilst others struggle to make ends meet.
Greed is horrible,it makes people look bad, maybe others should have been honest like HV,but let’s be honest here they are all greedy on both tours we probably don’t see it as much.
When 100s of millions is up for grabs corruption will be rife .
The PGA has all of a sudden come up with 100s of millions of dollars more, where was it all going before i would be asking.

He said he wants to play the PGA and DP tours with the LIV calendar not conflicting So I don’t think we’ve heard the end of this one yet. 🙂

I don't care about the greed issue. If someone offered me that amount of money it would be incredibly tempting, even if I was already rich beyond belief.
I just think it makes them all look ridiculous when they spout the rubbish about growing the game etc

He does get to play Valderama now though too... so maybe money and that... :ROFLMAO:

The crowds at Valderama will be Huge with Rahm and Garcia there.

They will still be hunting Hideki, although his game has tailed off since winning the masters his signing guarantees you the whole Japanese golf market which is huge.
Hideki a sporting god in Japan.

Apparently Jon Rahms deal is worth more than the entire PGA tour purse. The PGA tour is struggling to fund said purse and Liv has literally no revenue and no viewers.
The Pif are literally burning money, over a short period of time, to buy and / or ruin professional golf which has evolved over a hundred years. This is obviously also happening in other sports and western society in general, however their investments outside sport at least show a return. It just seems wrong. Maybe they've earned the right to do it by maximising their natural resources.

Now that is one of the most naïve comments I've read on here. Of course they're told what to say. They've taken the cash and now must follow the party line.
I'm not disagreeing with that at all, but I'm saying they don't need to be coached to do that.

If I took millions and millions of pounds to join LIV, I know exactly why I'm joining. But I'm not naive enough to think it is a good idea to just come out publicly and say "I only did it for the money, as LIV golf is rubbish". Clearly you need to try and get fans onside as best as possible. So I'd be perfectly capable of working out all the reasons that make LIV golf sound appealing, which apply to me most and go with that. And professional golfers will generally be better than me at that, as they have been in the public eye for a long time. To think that the golfers are low IQ morons who can't think for themselves is naive I'd say.
