Yes, it is tiresome. But you insist on having the debate. Bit like every other debate on this thread

The OWGR debate is valid, you bleating on like a spoilt 5 year old child about how you don't get ranking points is a clear and total diversion away from some sensible points that are being put across.

Please don’t bite, that’s what they’re aiming for, get you banned and get the thread closed, rise above it 👌

Yes, the like of RS and The Jazzy Golfer are part owned by Performance54

Hadn't even heard of it until this, googled it and found that we are all part of it ..

England Golf, the governing body for amateur golf in England, is set to roll out the new World Handicap System (WHS) to over 1,800 golf clubs and 630,000 golfers in England on November 2nd. It will be the biggest shift in the handicapping system in modern history.

Performance54 has supported the England Golf team in developing WHS toolkit, featuring a brand-new educational campaign called ‘Know the Score’, to help them educate their members on the key features of the new system. As part of activating ‘Know the Score’, Peformance54 has also been responsible for managing PR & Communications around the WHS implementation, to generate further awareness and education ahead of the November launch date.

Aren’t some of these YouTube guys supported by one of the media arms of PiF?

Thinking about it more Rick and guy are very much not overly keen on Liv, even talk it down

So can't be that influenced by the media Arm

Found this

Some of Performance54’s highlights over the last twelve months include;

Collaboration with Rick Shiels on reaching and surpassing the 1m YouTube subscriber milestone

Ohhh, now resorting to personal insults because you don't like someone having a different opinion.

You'll find I will take a different tone with people who resort to such tactics. They deserve nothing more in my opinion. However anyone chooses to make their point, if it contradicts yours then it is meaningless. You'll simply make the same points over and over, and ignore any point that doesn't suit your agenda.

Off the top of my head I think performance 54 are heavily invested in Rick Shiels, Peter Finch and The Jazzy Golfer - pretty sure there could be a few more, but I don’t believe any of those channels are actively attempting to support LIV. From the bits I’ve seen, like you, Rick and Guy seem pretty ambivalent about LIV. I’ve not even seen anything from the other two that could be used to support an argument over allegiance to LIV one way or the other..

They don’t overly support LiV. But look at the people Ric has on his channel and the way he has been with some like Bryson on SM.

Finch is the same. Was recently critical of TGL on his podcast and does a lot with the Carter fellow who is deep in the pockets of LiV.

There is a valid point in the situation for sure however because of the hot potato that is Liv / Saudi it's lost.

The "world rankings" become a bit watered down for want of a better word.

I mean I was all for Liv at the start and gave it a go but end of the day I've found it as boring to watch as most pga events, I end up just watching YouTube golf , majors, and Ryder cup

Liv was on the other day and I picked a break 75 instead

I just can't get into tournaments as much as I did. That's with my love of golf aswell, I'm playing 1-2 times a week so it's not like I don't enjoy golf itself

Rick has all sorts on his channel tho, whoever will come on. I mean he's had Rickie Fowler, victor Hovland, mi woo lee , Westwood, poulter , Tommy Fleetwood ,I think he is due to do a video with rahm soon .

So it's not like he is focused on the Liv side he just gets whoever will appear

Quick add.. Adam Scott!

I expect the money that LIV pays will come with heavy media obligations. That might mean that the likes of Shiels and Finch get a friendlier and more accommodating response from LIV golfers than other golfers. This is pure speculation on my part. Poulter and Westwood have both been on Rick Shiels' channel (although Westwood may have been on pre LIV), but so have Min Woo Lee, Rickie Fowler and Adam Scott.
At least Shiels and Finch still consider the LIV players to be professional golfers, I wish we could say the same about OWGR.

Just saw the latest WAGR and I am outraged at the way I’m tumbling down the rankings. OK I haven’t played any ranking events since July but I can’t understand why the events I do play aren’t rated. I mean, I won the scratch at the October medal with a pretty sporty nine-over 82. No points for that!!!?? It’s all a stitch up to keep rubbish middle aged Scottish players out of the ANWA.

A disgrace I tell you, a disgrace! Is the WAGR even relevant nowadays?

😜
Aye but you won again for the 3rd time at that one near Balmoral on which I gave commentary in July

Like scrabble you should get triple points for that. I expect with that you will be in The Top 10. Top player

It’s probably got more to do with the contractual freedom that LIV players have compared to the PGAT.

Brysons channel for example is thriving, probably gets more views than LIV itself through the You Tube platform.

I do remember that from his interview with Rick that Liv allowed him more access behind the ropes with his youtube as opposed to the pga

For what its worth I've net felt that this event should get OWGR points due to its small field and relatively high number of invites, never the less you arer still comparing eggs to bananas.
Agree re the Hero Challenge - has been discussed on forum well before liv came along.
For some it is things like this that had the owgr losing credibility way back. Seemingly ignoring their oft quoted 'rules' to stay on side with influential characters.
Genuinely still find it baffling why they didn't at least only offer points to top half finishers only 🤷‍♂️
