One man's trolling garbage is another man's opinion and vice versa.
You lot should just stop arguing with one another and just accept you'll never agree or change each others' minds.
Life is easier if you just stop typing. 🤣🤣
But where is the fun in that? I think I got a solution to this though moving forward. Something which should draw a line in the sand. Let's have a forum referendum! Surely no one would argue about whatever the result and implications that would come from that? ;) ;) ;)

I'm not sure this thread needed more trolling, but thanks anyway.

An example that shows the weakness of LIV - too many golfers who are truly out of their league, who in an unrigged tour are not at the level to really play on merit with world class golfers.
How do you know what level of golf Richard Bland is playing? We no longer have a world ranking system, so the only way you would know how he is playing is if you have been secretly watching LIV. Is there anything you want to tell us?

Non of us know how Bland is playing compared to the other 2000 Pro's who play compete in OWGR approved events, whilst he choosed to be a member of a closed shop tour.

For what its worth I've net felt that this event should get OWGR points due to its small field and relatively high number of invites, never the less you arer still comparing eggs to bananas.

Great analogy.

Man on the street - “how many calories do eggs have compared to bananas”

Official World Calorie Ranking (OWCR) - “We can’t give eggs an official calorie ranking as they don’t comply with our guidelines - if they change into bananas, or perhaps some other sort of food that fits our criteria, then we can rank them”

That, is how ridiculous it has all become. :ROFLMAO:

Exactly. Its like asking for a slice of Banoffee, but made with eggs instead of the bananas. It just cant be done.

91st in the TUGR and 118 in Data golf.
So, which one is correct and credible????? A difference in 27 positions seems rather large.

Looking at both, the top 5 LIV golfers are ranked:

Smith (14th TUGR, 17th DG)
Gooch (21st TUGR, 30th DG)
B Koepka (30th TUGR, 36th DG)
Bryson (32nd TUGR, 25th DG)
DJ (35th TUGR, 34th DG)

I suppose one thing we can conclude if either of those rankings is considered "accurate". LIV golf truly does have a poor quality field in comparison to PGAT. Just thought I'd look for some of the rankings of other big name LIV players

Poulter (166th TUGR, 160th DG)
Schwartzel (207th TUGR, 232nd DG)
Watson (284th TUGR, 187th DG)
McDowell (290th TUGR, 326th DG)
Mickleson (348th TUGR, 338th DG)
Wolff (361th TUGR, 334th DG)
Westwood (411th TUGR, 382nd DG)
Kaymer (771st TUGR, Couldn't find him on DG, think it only goes up to 500th)

Bland is 251st on the OWGR, so I don't think questioning the credibility of either of Datagolf or TUGR on a 27 place differential is much of a discussion to be having in the grand scheme of things, when the 'Official' ranking is clearly miles away from being accurate.

All the other players you have carefully selected are probably accurately ranked. Obviously playing less now than they were - Kaymer has hardly played due to injury - but generally their best days are definitely behind them.
We know most of them were signed for their status within the game rather than their ability to win tournaments - all part of the business model - the same applies to Tiger's relevance to the PGAT these days right?

There are still plenty of quality golfers within the LIV roster suggest the golf being played is of a high quality. Using TUGR as an example, approximately one quarter of the top 100 golfers in the world are playing on LIV.
