Not sure if you've seen the recent tweets from Mary Ann Reilly on Twitter, but she's making some pretty damning accusations against the leadership of the PGAT. It doesn't really seem to have been picked up on by the media in general, who are probably reluctant to report on the allegations, but even so, there's no smoke without fire, and Pazder's rapid exit seems to be connected may well be the smoke..

If it’s on Twitter then it must be true

There is a reason Cross quit too but LIV staying very tighlipped about that one. How does a tour function without a tournament director ? No smoke without fire indeed.

Indeed, perhaps you can provide some sort of evidence or links to anything surreptitious that you seem to be alluding to..

If you can’t, you might find you’re breaching the rules of the forum.

No, nothing surreptitious alluded. Just a key member of the team leaves at a key time for the organisation and its future. Wondering what is behind it, as people are wondering about Pazder at a key time for the PGAT over the next 4 months.

You should check out Greg Norman's history before posting such a hypocritical, imo, comment. Greg would likely have at least twice been stoned to death under Shariah law of Saudi Arabia. Your twitter reference does not seem to provide any evidence and also accuses Monahan of the same.

It was 7250 yards, so not short by any means. Plenty of low scores out there all weekend so it's safe to say, it wasn't set up tough with long rough etc. However, there is still plenty of trouble on the course. The pin position on the 18th wasn't yielding many birdies yesterday as many players were getting trapped short in the horseshoe ridge which was protecting the flag - indeed Bryson did as well - but with 2 putts available for a 59 it didn't really matter - so his birdie putt was pretty impressive there.

He was on a 59 watch on Saturday as well - ended up with a 61 - so he played 2 rounds of golf with 119 blows - I wasn't far off that in one round yesterday :ROFLMAO:

Highlights are here for anybody that wants to watch them -

Apologies Mel, I've only just seen this reply. Thanks for giving a balanced response. Obviously a round of 58 is a great round, but it's a much more impressive round on a 7200 yard course rather than round a local pitch and putt. Sounds like Bryson had one of those days when everything went right. Having said that, it sounds like he had one of those days the day before when he shot the 61.

I once shot a 58 round my local course. Unfortunately for me my playing partners insisted that we had to play the back 9 as well.

Just watched the last few holes of Bedminstr R2. Cam Smith continues to show his class and Phil reacts well to Rory's dig. Disappointing rounds for BDC and DJ though. Spectators were shockingly sparce though - less than 20 in view for tee shots or around the greens and while 18th stand smd full from a distance, it was almost empty in an immediae post-round piece. Scarily poor attendance, given its proximity to New York.

I missed the last couple of holes, but can't say I noticed your observation earlier. Perhaps I tend to watch the golf, not watch the people watching the golf 😉😉

Could be one of the events to get canned as the series will look to spread its wings internationally. From watching on tv it certainly doesn’t feel to have the vibe that some previous round have?

It definitely feels less well attended than some of the others I’ve watched, and I’m sure I saw discounted tickets available last week - which as far as I know, isn’t something that’s been needed this year.

Agreed. Not something I looked for as most (Australia bing a pleasant, if predictable, exception) have been lower than optimal, but the difference from previous events was dramatic. Local reaction to the course owner perhaps? His ex is alredy interned in the family mausoleum there.

Much bigger crowds today, maybe even the largest I've seen. Maybe there was another event, such as American Football or Baseball yesterday. Solid round by Cam after a dodgy start, and BDC finall woke up. I missed Phil's quintuple bogey, so might check that out, and maybe even save it to revisit it after a bad round. I'm starting to think about turning the sound off though as the commentary is becoming intolerably promotional and Feherty's style of wit only works, for me, in small doses. It might be fun trying to follow the round fron the lsss than perfect autotext.

"Wonder what he knows?"

Probably nothing! 🤣😁😉

To be fair, he might be a she. After posting my views on sexual discrimination elsewhere on the forum, I really ought to be more careful with my pronouns. 🤔

I’m gonna have a guess that the PGAT are gonna rebuff the Saudi money…

Maybe Eddie should start asking a few honest questions of Keith Pelley, ratherthan stalking Lee Westwood on X ?
Sorry what does Keith Pelley have to do with Westwood joining LIV ?

Don’t you think there is a point there that Pepperall has made

“Professional golf used to be about playing well to earn money. (Still is for the most part to be fair) It’s not jealousy to point out how LIV is rewarding (in some instances) poor performance in a big way monetarily”

Westwood will earn a lot of money but it seems has been rubbish

Well. The reason Westwood doesn’t play no cut events on the DPWT anymore, is because Pelley banned him. So that has something to do with it, right?

Again, we’re going over old ground, but the DPWT would be more appealing if Sergio, Poults, Westwood, Kaymer, Pieters, Reed etc, etc, etc… we’re eligible to play.

Everybody who makes a cut is guaranteed a pay cheque right? So what’s the difference between, post cut golf and LIV golf, that suggests players on one tour will continue to try to win, but on LIV, they won’t?

It’s a totally hollow argument.
