Worth a watch if you’ve got 40 minutes.

So this is another reason Liv Golfers love being on Liv, aka more control of their own media rights.

The PGAT just doesn't allow this to happen and its short sighted for promoting your product.

Final Round Liv coverage got around 47k YouTube views

This video on a Liv branded event course is going to break through 1/2 million views in 24hrs.

No brainer for Liv to continue to promote and allow these to happen more.

There is no way the New Company can miss that as anything other than the world has said a collective no to LIV. You get those kind of numbers if you video you cat jumping onto a cornflakes box. Nobody, no matter how deep the pockets, invests in something effectively nobody wants to watch. 45k is truly embarrassing, there is just no positive spin even Malcolm Tucker could put on that.

Since you obviously have them, and we know YT represents a small percentage of the total audience (and views and viewers is not a 1:1 relationship), I'd be interested to see the audience figures for those watching in person, via the official app/website, The CW app/channel, and dozens of other broadcasters (worldwide) - i.e. the vast majority of viewers.

What?! You don't have them and are just making stuff up again. I'm officially shocked.

May have mentioned before that my Bro is a full time pro caddy in the states.

Had an encounter with Lefty today at Merion GC.

Let's just say he didn't have many nice things to say about Mr Mickleson the person 🤔🤔

I watched it on the LIV website not on youtube. You need to complete your figures I think?

Yes YT figures are not total figures.
I watched on the Liv App on my phone.

I was actually pointing out the huge success of Brysons video on his channel which is amazing promotion for Liv Golf

Does the You Tube channel represent a small percentage of the total viewers ?

Is there somewhere that shows the full viewership across each event

They used to release some numbers but thought that stopped they were also using self reporting ratings as opposed to standard reporting

The fact that LIV is actually viewable on YouTube makes golf accessible for people like me that don’t have sky at all.
Now, I watch the highlights, or let it run in the background, shotgun start s good for that. Similar to watching baseball, some great shots to look at occasionally.

But, apparat from Bryson this time I can’t tell you any winner because I don’t seem to care about the results. The higher purse doesn’t change that.

And the club thing is still beyond me.

Also: The 58, he would have gained 3 shots on me just on the last green! I think I would be more able to drive the ball like him than to ever put it like he did on Sunday.

LIV's live stream on YT is pay-per-view in several countries, including the US, and not available at all in most others, so even if you imagine that people are paying for something they could very easily get for free, particularly via broadcast television - yes, we can be reasonably certain that YT represents a small percentage of the overall viewers.

Update: I came acorss the CW broadcast numbers for Sunday at The Greenbrier; as expected, they dwarf YT - 232K vs 47K.

No, there never has been complete viewership numbers other than LIV's own aggregated ones. Audience figures for broadcasts remain publicly available in some countries but not all. LIV no longer release their numbers - which obviously would include non-publicly available data (e.g. their website/app, CW streaming, and data from other countries).

Didn’t realise Bryson shot his 58 playing preferred lies. Such a shame to shoot such a low score and it not really count as a proper score. 🤣😉

Obviously I have them.
But like for LIV, they are just too high to release to the public domain. People's minds would be blown. LIV keeps a lid on them because if sponsors and media networks really knew how high they were, they wouldnt be able to transmit it for free on youtube, and would have too many calls from the Fortune 500 companies wanting to sponsor LIV events and be associated with its success. And sponsors would run from the PGAT. Now that the PIF might have an interest in the PGAT, they will have instructed LIV not to let people know how popular it really is.

Pazder and Cross were the two men managing the tournaments. It seems early for the tournaments execs to be standing down, but if they have insight into the PGAT tour review on whether it sees a role for LIV in the future the writing may be on the wall.

All of this is conjecture right now as until a definitive agreement is agreed and we all see how that looks or both tours cant come to an agreement and go their separate ways again.

Since the senate hearings there has been very little in the way of hearing of any progress.
They have till the end of 2023 to try and come to an agreement.

There’s definitely a lot of uncertainty over the future structure.

The PGAT schedule for 2024 looks pretty much the same as it has for years, aside from bigger purses, which they seemingly couldn’t afford..

Is Tiger back on the scene to act in the interests of the tour, the players, or does he want a slice of the NewCo cake himself?

Of course we know LIV need to make a profit at some point, but they’re not in the tight position that the PGAT is in, in the shorter term.
