LIV Golf

Phil's do you ever look at your post full of quotes, and think, "That looks bloody terrible"..

Just reply without quoting, I'll know your responding to me, cos 99% of the time, you are.. šŸ˜‚

šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø I guess it helps you ignore the relevant issues

What am I ignoring?

The toxic nature of the tour

The lack of sponsorship

The inability to gain any significant media deal

The reasons for the above

The issue with the ranking points and the tour being no closer to gaining points

The tour being unable to bring in any more significant players since Smith

The tour only survives because someone is ok losing over £1bn each year

And all those issues are because of the toxic nature of the tour and not the fault of the PGAT or the ET

To those who can only post a link to an external comment/'article' with absolutely no comment from yourself

Please stop... or at least say who's payroll you are on

No one is on any payroll and adding articles adds discussion points especially when they are relevant to the thread

Well at least say if you support what you're posting or if you disagree with the article you've posted or are you a paid 'blogger' or if you're just spamming the forum
There can be no other explanation

It’s just posting an article that adds something to the thread - I’m not aware of any ā€œpaidā€ blogger , it’s an article from Golf Monthly from the USPGA of America about LIV , it speaks for itself.

The explanation is pretty simple - creating discussion

So your (& others) role is that of forum admistrator/editor, ok got it

Do you agree or disagree with the tweet and why do you not want to admit it

I think there is at least on poster who is getting things given to them to post.

Some of their posts read like a press release, and some recent posts have been almost word for word the same a posts on other platforms.

Given GM are happy to take LiV money for adds I doubt they care.

Eh šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Forum editor ?

What is the issue in posting an article from GM ?

Admit what ?

As i said in replies to the articles that Waugh makes some very relevant points.

How is it Toxic?

How is it Toxic?

Court cases

The source of money

The social media attacks from the likes of Phil Mickelson

The constant attacks from the likes of GN

The social media bots

The negative affect and split it’s had on the sport

Why do you think they can’t get sponserships and any significant media deals ? And you can’t say because it’s a start up when other start up comps from other sports can gain both before starting

No idea who Lynch is but he highlights exactly why it’s toxic and why Mickelson is at the heart of it

ā€œLIV Golf has no audience traction, particularly in the only region that can confer commercial viability, the U.S. One possible explanation is that LIV is an execrable product, with odious financing, a nefarious objective, inept leadership, and unlikable competitors playing for ludicrously named teams on cow pasture courses. Or, if you believe Mickelson, LIV’s issues owe more to numerous entities and individuals conspiring to smother a surefire concept.ā€

Lol, you’re trusting Lynch for a balanced view??
No wonder you think it’s toxic.
The man is a can short of a six pack.

I have no idea who Lynch is but he was spot on about LIV and even more so about a Phil Mickleson who has spent the last week or so embarrassing himself with his nonsense on Twitter and lack of investigation before blurting out nonsense and then having to back track and delete tweets

So again - why do you think LIV can’t get any major sponsorships or any major media deals ?

I think LIV have probably got plenty of deals lined up, as I alluded earlier.
Dropping the court cases will help pave the way for that.

ā€œLined upā€ ? Why just lined up ? What are they waiting for - if there is someone there then just sort it, again it’s been ā€œlined upā€ since the tour started ? Just like the supposed franchises that haven’t materialised

So that’s why they haven’t got any sponsors ? The court case that LIV players started - so is that not toxic then ?

And they spent all the off season chasing a media deal and couldn’t get one of any significance.

Two big areas to help a tour being sustainable.

Do you think if there was any hint of either that LIV would be able to keep quiet ? Not a chance.

They don’t need a media deal Phil, they’ve got a very very good app - tv deals across much of the world.

You are aware as well that it may not be in LIV’s best interests to rush into any sponsorship deals that could be sold for significantly more in a year or maybe 2 years time. The Saudis have funded it for several years, they’ll be happy with that financial commitment - and holding off until LIV further proves itself will be a smart move.

Time will tell, but with a growing younger audience and a more dynamic product - LIV fills a massive hole for many.

So do they have deals lined up or are they waiting ?!

If they don’t need a media deal why did they go around everyone looking for one and end up with CW ? How will the App bring them the funds to make it sustainable

Surely the only way for the event to prove itself is to get the major deals

Maybe it’s closer to the truth that no one wants to go near the tour because of all the issues surrounding it.
