He epitomises the LIV field weakness though. Having a player who ranks, in real terms, about 150th in the world, in a field of 48 shows how little a LIV win means. Not really from nowhere Liv wise.
He played a full season as a Liv player last year..
Has probably earned more in sub appearances on Liv so far than he could have earned in a full season on DPWT.
He will be praying for more sub appearances as he has a chance of getting top 24 in the league which would get him full playing privilege's on Liv for next year.
He is in no man's land right now with no permanent playing privileges on any tour but financially secure from his Liv paychecks in the last 18 months.
In 5 years time, if it still exists, who would they have as major material ? Its only a handful now. In 5 years time, Smith, Bryson if fit, Koepka probably will still have it. Reed maybe. Some of those will have longer term access to some majors anyway. So it wont be a big deal either way.
No I don’t think anyone who turned it down regrets that decision.
But probably not. Isolating himself away on LIV means he wont be measured against the wider golf world - LIV is de facto competitive retirement.Maybe the #2 amateur in the world they signed last year Chacarra? (Deffo spelt wrong by cba to google) Plus any new talent they continue to sign as older players step away. Again, it’s all pure speculation at this stage.
I agree.
However had they not created “elevated events” with no cut from next year - I think the answer would be different.
I don’t think it would tbh they got the main players who were more than happy to leave for the money , not sure there is that many left who would have moved
It’s quite impossible to actually say one way or the other though

Plus Mel as got quite a few forumers on stringsYes but speculation is what this thread thrives on
Keep up
Don't worry, there are more than enough trolls on the other side making equally (if not more) outlandish and inane comments; e.g. claiming that LIV aren't hosting valid tournaments, that they can't compare to existent tours, that all but a handful of the players are has-beens and never-weres, etc.In the absence of substance, LIV itself is the prime mover of speculation slash trolling the world of golf. It it had serious golfers playing serious tournaments, that would have spoken for itself, without the need to resort to bluffs and smoke and mirrors to keep itself in any discussion at all. What is unarguable is that discussion on actual LIV golf itself has been negligible to nil.
To be fair I was thinking the other day, what/who would be top of the April post stalking table :Plus Mel as got quite a few forumers on strings
I think Pinseeker has stalked LP on here for years. Christ knows how he’s got away with it though. To be fair I was thinking the other day, what/who would be top of the April post stalking table :
- Pinseeker on Liverpoolphil
- Liverpoolphil on Mel Smooth
Might need VAR to sort that one out

At least Phil actually debates subjects, no matter how much anyone agrees with it. Pinseeker is a pure wind up merchant. Never noticed him actually debate a subject or join a proper discussion.
Not only shows His face, but is often an integral part.I agree with this
Have some great back and forths with Phil. And the bigger thing - he also shows his face in person at meets etc! Not just a person behind a keyboard!

Pinseeker is happily a stranger to most
