Its certainly a blow for LIV. Clearly LIV recruits wanted to continue to play DP Tour. This shuts the door of it being remotely possible for them. Thus further isolating those jumping to LIV Island, and so a disincentive to others doing so.
Big win here for DP and the PGAT.
LIV disappearing down its own drainhole.
You still haven't grasped the difference between 'LIV' and (some) LIV players! For LIV, publicity is pretty much a necessity, so even this loss (for its players) is beneficial! For the players involved, the loss of 100K each (whatever the currency) was likely deemed worth the action! If ou really want it to continue down the drainhole, just ignore it!

It is a blow for the LIV golfers involved, but as stated by the DPWT and the Resolution arbitrator, it was based on very narrow parameters. Very different from the PGAT/LIV case which is much more complicated and broader (but still might go the same way).

I personally think the arbitration (subject to confirmation on Thursday) was a bit of a win - win for the DPWT in any event; the outcome justified the stance the DPWT took with the players (under duress from Big Brother or otherwise) and the fines imposed; had it been found in favour of the players, DPWT events would continue to have been enhanced by their presence.

As it is now, Pelley & co. have a decision to make - I'm sure they'll want to enforce their position, but I do think that would be to the detriment of actual DPWT events. As things are going this year, for non members, it's quite likely Hojgaard (at least one of them!), Meronk and Fox will do enough to earn a PGAT card next year. With the 'designated' events, there'll be plenty more opportunity to fill spaces at other tournaments so unlikely to spend much time on the DPWT.
The DPWT will continue to cultivate young talent and will prosper with the Strategic alliance with the PGAT. To hitch their wagon with the Saudi backed tour would be a recipe for disater.....

I think commentary from the likes of Pepperell & Fitzpatrick would suggest the Strategic Alliance will not really lead to much prosperity for the DPWT.... if anything it accelerates the speed at which the young talent make it to the PGAT.

Hope the PGA tour also get their win against LIV and this means players think very very carefully about jumping ship.

I would love for all LIV golfers to be banned from Majors moving forwards.

Obviously strong feelings still on yhis thread.

So far the competition has indeed improved the golf landscape. The designated events are a huge improvement, the effort by the pga to get the best players on the same course at the same time has really done the trick for me.

I think I've got LIV to thank for that.

Unfortunately for LIV, moving away from youtube and onto an app I dont trust, means ive never even seen a shot this year. And I've not missed it at all. I may have liked to have seen Smith or Johnson, but ive never thought "This event would have been noticabley better with "insert LIV player" here"

My only concern with the designated events is that it means the other events carry less weight, and if you never get big names in those events they might die out. As why would anyone want to sponsor them if there is little to no "names" involved?

I agree that there would be concerns there, but that's the are where Commissioner Monahan would be expected to earn the millions he's paid! Keeping sponsors of the smaller or now degraded events happy that they are getting value for their investments!

If you don't trust the app then you can just watch on the website in your browser. Appreciate you said you haven't missed it, so just a FYI.

I don’t really get why Brooks isn’t in his Liv clothing and plenty others are?

Doesn’t seem that Cam Smith is either actually
