Are they not already? Money been there for years for tournaments etc.

Only reason Liv has been so highlighted is because it's gone against the PGA tour ...simple as that

It’s never as simple as that and the source and levels of money can’t ever be ignored

I don’t know what other tournaments the State funds but this a whole tour held up by Middle East State funds and for many that source of money isn’t great

Please stop supporting LIV, it’s pathetic. The Saudis are pure EVIL, immoral scum who MURDER people like me — LGBT — for simply existing.

I don’t understand why so many of you support this total human rights travesty. Why do you support the side of hate against your own people, and yes the many Saudis who oppose this corrupt monstrosity?

C’mon, explain. Let’s hear why...

Me not watching LIV isn't going to make a difference mate.

I appreciate that Saudi have rules against LGBT but that is religion based and I do not wish to get into any sort of argument surrounding religion. I don't agree with it but there's nothing I can do to stop it.

If every big boxing event is in Saudi, Newcastle are allowed to be owned by Saudi and entertaining golf is on offer - then ill be watching - along with the other millions that will tune in to all these Saudi backed events.

Difference is - I openly admit to it and plenty wont.

not sure why you have quoted me because I’m far from any LIV supporter and certainly not a fan of any Middle East state having anything to do with any sports

Sure, I know that and thank you for taking the just stance. I must have quoted you in error, I can only apologise...

Did you watch the World Cup (on the BBC and ITV)?
Do you watch the Premier League or will you boycott that as well?

It’s all whataboutary

If people want to watch sports then they are forced to use the platform that it’s on

Did I watch the World Cup - yes because I enjoy the World Cup - that doesnt matter think it was right that the World Cup went to Qatar
Statistically 2 homeless people have died in England since Rory’s victory yesterday.

There are no homeless people in Saudi.

Really poor take

How many in this country have been jailed for who they love

All other tours provide Players with earnings (whether paid to play of prize money) from income generated from commercial activities. LiV provide earnings for players mainly from a fund set up for political purposes, now you are free to think that is ok, but you must see the clear difference.

Honestly you are so predictable, you come out with some comment then when someone challenges it your first action is to try and shut them down.
Embarrassing.

But it’s true isn’t it

Instead of addressing the point that LIV is fully funded by state being an issue for some the answer is “but what about”

Really picking and choosing what fits with this argument.

So the Saudi backed Aramco series is sound because they have a Rolex board on every tee but LIV isn't because they haven't yet got additional sponsors?

Saudi money is Saudi money mate.

Yes there is a difference However If they had aligned with the Pga I very much doubt this outrage would be so much for many .. still some would morally object to it and hats off to them respect their views but it's those who hide behind those views to just use as a reason not to like something when it's not the reason.

Its caused me no issue it being here I've watched it as much as the pga .. which is pretty much a couple events when I can be bothered

Golf is still golf. I mean I watch YouTube of people playing golf who are worse . And I enjoy it

I'm sure a lot of pga players are delighted Liv exists .. pga has improved and upped it's game since ..
