Pro-Shop voucher for us.
There's rarely anything in there that I want and they wouldn't order non-stock items in unless you're parting with cash.
It's almost getting to the point of not wanting to win as you end up with something you don't really want....
Last year I ended up buying a putter, and flogging it on TheBay for £50, it cost me £60 of vouchers and £10 cash - at least it released some value that I could use elsewhere on something useful....

I like the idea of being able to credit it against the next year's subs. Could really help people out if they could reduce that bill the following year.

Enty winnings are club house credit butnot the bar or food but can be used at another local pro shop (The pro down there was the original pro for the club). Sweep is paid in cash and 2's are paid in balls ether new or used balls from the basket.
Works well and I'm quite happy with that as it means every now and again I can treat myself to something nice from my vouchers.

Our comp fees are £2.50 + 50p 2s on weekdays and £3 + £1 2s at weekends. Around 75% of comp fees and 100% of 2s pool is paid onto smart card which can be used for everything - bar, catering, range, comp fees etc. all of which have a discount attached based on different points of total spend during the year e.g. 20% discount on bar/catering after you've spent £100 total.

Summer winnings go on the shop account, winter sweeps are paid cash and twos into account, home opens are vouchers. Works for the most part and rarely an issue for me :(

Both winnings and 2s are paid into pro shop account. No problems with that as shop is well stocked and pro will order items in on request. He also matches prices, but only on non account purchases.

I was wondering how you pay winnings at your club? We have ours paid to the Pro and onto our account. I personally do not like this as I am then restricted in buying overpriced stock that he can be bothered getting in his shop. Last year I bought 4 Nike polo's and a couple of jumpers all of them top whack. Far more expensive than I would have paid normally. I would rather have my winning put on my bar card. As for supporting your pro.....well I never see him coming to work and supporting me so why should I reciprocate with my money?

Could you not discuss this with the club manager and tell him where you would like your money to go. Maybe then they could do this across the whole club if other members agreed to it.
I'm sure they would be open to suggestions.

Our winnings get paid into the pro shop also. The difference is that our pro is willing to price match, order in items and is generally pretty good value.

Unfortunately, he's leaving us at the start of April, and I can only hope that the new chap, once appointed, will be as reasonable.

I spend the £27 I had in my account on Saturday and bought a pair of FJ Contour Casuals, like these ones :)

Competition winnings either Pro Shop or Bar Card and you choose when joining your preference. 2's go to Pro Shop.

The weekly ladies comps are paid out every 6 months although still waiting for the club to pay over my winnings accumulated upto December. Poor show!

Isn't there some rule about amateurs winning prize money in cash and that's why we mainly get winnings in vouchers etc ?
