Further to recent discussions on Increased Subscriptions & Possible Levies. I was wondering what the average membership numbers were at your club and also if you have to pre-book to play a round.
My Clubs membership capacity is set at
420 Full members
140 Associate members
Cant find figures for Honorary,Life,Senior,Special,Country,Overseas etc.
We have no pre-booking system.

We have a maximum membership of 525 and no need to book tee times. Seems that most, however, want to play between 8 and 9 in the morning so the odd queue in the morning at the weekend.

I think some clubs have always got by on a budget and their actual ground conditions almost look after themselves. The likes of our club is built on a clay base and is always being improved. I cant wait for the day our bunkers stay dry year round, fairways and greens are pure rather than the usual worm casts late in the year.

Bigslice, Couldnt possibly line them all up so here is a dozen pics of kylies arse instead.

:D

Couldnt say for sure but I think I heard a figure of 450 bandied around once. That probs includes ladies and juniors etc etc but I think we only get about 120 or so regular (once a week) playing gents

There is a booking system through the pro shop

Somewhere between 1,200 and 1,500 members.

No booking other than on line for comps.

Usually just turn up and walk on :) e.g. yesterday (Sunday), 3 of us met up on spec at about 8.15 and teed off at 8.25.

Oh! It does help that we have two 18 holes courses :D

About 500 all in, maybe slightly more, juniors, seniors and ladies. Need alot more full paying members. There is about 320 full payers at the moment. Saturday time sheet always full, then u get the guys who dont bother to take their names out!!!
What is it about 8 am - 10 am golfers?

Tain has about 250 ish. You don't have to book most of the time but its best to just in case.

The Other course i'm a member of has about 500 and you have to book if you want to play before 1pm.

I'm not really sure. I'd guess at around 750??

Our comps are strange, the early medals and late fur & feather comps when the course is at it's worst due to maintenance or on set/ recovery from winter are always jammed. A medal in the height of summer always has plenty of tees slots??

No tee booking here except for comps, I'd take my clubs to a course that didn't require tee booking if it was introduced.

Not 100% sure, but our handicap list has 436 names on it.

We can either book online or through the pro shop, but outside of busy times (Sat and Sun mornings) you can pretty much turn up and get a game. Just have to check for societies.
