I posted my opinion on the vid in my very first post, some subsequent replies would think they had committed a major crime.

I think you'll find I'm very happy to debate, to the point I could do it all day and night, however, it seems some on here don't find my debating to their liking, which I find very amusing.

It's not the debating, it's the narrow minded complete lack of understanding that not everyone thinks like they do..... It's a superiority complex.

What if it was a political character.
What if it was the union jack
...etc, etc.
Plenty of examples of people burning stuff in public as a protest that many would find disturbing. Taking it forward as a criminal matter may be OTT.

Aye, & I'm sure there'll still places in Yorkshire where there are items chucked on the fire with the words... "And that's the Thatcher-Witch burning again"...…… & that, unsurprisingly, & rightly so, is considered well justified in this region. But the Grenfell Tower victims were innocent people just living their lives & deserving of sympathy & support.

What I don’t get is the Police will investigate this to see IF a crime has been committed.
But won’t come to your house after a burglary when they know a crime HAS been committed.

They have to investigate to satisfy the public outrage. (Although I agree with the article above, I’m not sure what that was hoping to find during the search?) but this “case” will never come to court.

Let’s just say we allowed the media to run with it and the Police stood back, relative of someone from Grenfell takes the law in to their own hands and seeks retribution.

Because if you look at the reports and those that were in attendance we are talking about possibly no more than a dozen people, different scenario to a crowd.
The homeowner would of known those guests personally and probably known their sense of humour, unfortunately for him, one of them has messed up releasing the video,

I don't think I mentioned a crowd(one time I walked out was tho), two of the other times I walked out in disgust have been with less than 8 people being present, just a group of 'ex-friends', in a very similar meeting to this group of people.

I would not have liked for a video to have been uploaded of those situations, with me in frame and I certainly did not agree with what happened/what they were doing. Maybe I have mixed with different people and you have not come across such situations.

Just because someone is there and knows their sense of humour, does not mean you know how they will apply their normal humour(in this case they have applied their humour[I say humour loosely] with racist comments) and as you said 'those in attendance only have themselves to blame' then 'probably' and that this could affect innocent people who just happened to attend for a long time , I do not agree with, people are innocent until proven guilty and such comments are uncalled for.

No issue with anything you’ve posted, we’ve only seen and heard the same things, 6 have handed themselves in, any combination of that number or none of them could have action taken against them.
I agree people should be innocent until proven guilty and maybe the innocent have handed themselves in to clear their name.

I am not really having a go at the police I know it’s down to money and priorities but they don’t help themselves in this scenario. Imo.

I was with a member from a well known London set today and he was talking about a serious precedent being set if they somehow were proved guilty in a court of law. Would likely be laughed out.

Very likely to end up accepting a minor charge/caution - police get a 'win' in the media and people can move onto the next outrage.

IMO its ridiculous the amount of resource being put into what was a bunch of twats being twats at a private party. The biggest of the twats being the ones who thought it so funny as to share it on WhatsApp.

Do you think the Police have any choice?
They’ll do their job, pass it to the CPS and the CPS will make a decision.
It could be exactly as TheDiablo has described it or something else. Police are in a no win situation.
