RSG and Trump Aberdeen being my top 2

I really loved Fulford when I played it, not as great or spectacular as other courses I've played but it really suited my eye.

Muirfield
Royal Birkdale
Carnoustie

Snap!!

Though I'd put Birkdale as #1.
Carnoustie is a (at least, potential) beast!
Muirfield is simply a joy to play, whatever the conditions or score!

That covers Links!

For Park/Heathland

Swinley Forest
Sunningdale Old
Hankley Common

Royal Dornoch. Brilliant test of golf.
Royal Portrush. Another brilliant test of golf.
Machrihanish Dunes. Solitude, ambience and frequent millionaire's golf.

Hard to list in any order but courses that I have really enjoyed are - Sawgrass Stadium. Sawgrass Dye Valley, Woburn Dukes, Bay Hill and Formby. That may change again when I play Sunningdale old and new next week.

Define best? If it's the hardest test of golf then of those I've been fortunate enough to play;

1. Carnoustie
2. Bethpage Black
3. Royal St. George's

If it's outstanding natural beauty then it's;

1. Banff Springs
2. Swinley Forest
3. Sunningdale Old

I know you loved Royal St George's, I clearly remember you standing on the 18th green, hands on hips, looking all round and shaking your head at the beauty of the place 😉

I've been lucky enough to play some great tracks but my 3 personal favourites are,

Turnberry
Carnoustie
Hillside.

There's loads more I could name though.

3 Trump International - one of those places where you know it's special as you go round.

2 Western Gailes - partly for personal reasons but it's a beautiful place. Old school links golf.

1 The Old Course - it's just special. If I could only play one course for the rest of my life, it would be here.
