As the title suggests
Which members / officials at YOUR Golf Club, have an advanced tee time, or preferential tee time, Pre-booked every week, before the 'normal' members are allowed to book......??

Only ask, as, Ive played at courses where ONLY the Captain had a prebooked time, and one where the Capt and Chairman had a tee time booked every week
But........Im now at a club where the Capt, Chairman, President, Junior org, and every Committee member now has advanced Pre-Booked tee times every sunday (looking at website start sheets)
With daylight being at a Premium, and tee times, at times, like 'Gold-Dust'.......this now means around 9-10 tee times already taken...........

Is this the Norm........??
How do your clubs work this........??

Never heard of that before. Doesn't happen at our place. Be a right pain in the ass though.

Our club captain who's a complete cock. The norm is that the preferential tee's to start on are shared throughout the year, but he's a completely selfish so and so and has pretty much had the first tee every week throughout the year.

Rant over.:p

Bomber, thats exactly what I thought, only just started last week, but I think its a JOKE

Like I said, Ive seen capt and president at previous club, and I was more than happy seeing junior organiser ( here ) during season get an early tee, to then take the juniors off to a match.......but pretty soon, dark nights, and much less opportunities to get out for a game

Never heard of this!

Can I have a prebooked time because I tidied up the locker room?

No preferential tea times for anybody as such, though the captain does have the "priority" though I've never heard of any them abusing it.

i will be captain in two years at my away club only benefit is i get the casting vote on things. and i suppose if i really wanted is go out in the first ballot every morn

I will be making enquiries for sure

I feel a 'letter' brewing...........

Cant be right surely.......??

Seems you have a fairly new committee who think they can rule the roost and if nobody says anything then they will assume they can get away with it. Give them it tight and ask why they think they should get priority over the members, El captain yes but as for the rest well they should have no priority over the ordinary member.

The Captain and the President have a Pre-Booked time every sat and sunday at our place, this has been the Norm the last 2 years, (Ive been there) Im presuming in the club rules too (which can be checked)
The rest of them.........well this is Defo news to me, Im currently putting 'feelers' out to other guys I know who have been at club (members) longer to see if this has ever been the case before..........awaiting replies.........

Competitions have priority and the tee is booked for those. Otherwise rock up and go out. No-one including the Captain gets priority. There may be something inthe rules and constitution that allows it but I've never known anyone use it

Our place is Tee booking 7 days a week.
Therefore the 2 officials (capt & pres) were Pre-Booked
A previous club, just ''rock up and go'' like your place Homer, Capt had priority if turned up too

I just dont believe it can be in our club constitution, as I do NOT recall this situation last year, otherwise would have got my 'back up' then too

We have drawn competitions where certain people are always in the first few groups, I once put my name down first in zone 1, 9.06-10.06 tee times and as given 12.24 second to last out, and the same people every week had been 'drawn' to play earlier..

Did you ask why or just accept it.

Committee guys have a chance to choose if they want and the team members get a chance when at home as they are n the course when playing when the times open.

No issues from me, I normally always get the draw I'm looking for, even on very busy medals.
